To learn more, visit www.greystar.com.\nJOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY\nWe are seeking an analytically strong Corporate FP&A Analyst to support Greystar’s C-Suite functions, including the Offices of the CEO (Chief Executive Officer), CFO (Chief Financial Officer), CIO (Chief Investment Officer), and CLO (Chief Legal Officer). The functions supported include, but are not limited to, Managed Capital, Investment Strategy & Research, Data & Technology, Legal, Risk Management, Treasury, and Tax. The Corporate FP&A team supports 40+ business leaders across these functions.Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate FP&A, this individual will support the operating expense forecasts for each of these functions, including the annual business plan as well as monthly and quarterly forecasts, and prepare the consolidated reporting and analysis used to explain financial performance to senior leaders. The Analyst also supports cost allocation reporting for the C-Suite functions and will serve as a hands-on driver of the team’s use of AI, automation, and the systems tech stack.\nJOB DESCRIPTION\nC-Suite Operating Expense Planning & Forecasting\nOwn operating expense (OpEx) and capital expense (CapEx) budgeting, forecasting, and variance tracking packages for each C-Suite function, partnering with function leaders to build forecasts that are well-supported and defensible.\nOwn budget-to-actual variance explanations for monthly reporting deliverables, partnering with Accounting, Finance and function leaders to identify key drivers and provide clear, timely commentary.\nPrepare the annual business plan, quarterly reforecasts, and related presentation materials for senior leadership for the C-Suite functions, collaborating with Accounting, Finance, and business teams to collect, validate, and synthesize inputs.\nPerform ad hoc reporting and analytics, including what-if and scenario analyses, in response to requests from the CFO, CLO, CIO, and their leadership teams.\nConsolidated C-Suite Reporting & Analysis\nPrepare each consolidated C-Suite management reporting package for senior leadership, pairing the numbers with a clear narrative - key drivers identified, variances explained, and leadership questions anticipated before they’re asked.\nAnalyze monthly and quarterly financial performance for each C-Suite function against budget and forecast, identify key drivers and variances, investigate unexpected results, and communicate meaningful insights to Corporate Finance and senior leadership.\nReview work carefully for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before distribution, and take ownership of assigned deliverables from initial request through completion.\nCost Allocation Ownership & Reporting\nPartner with the functional leaders to understand the cost drivers across the C-Suite functions and help shape allocation methodologies that distribute those costs across the businesses, balancing accuracy, fairness, and practicality.\nOwn the ongoing validation process that confirms allocated costs are posted correctly across every ledger in scope, maintaining clear documentation of how the process works.\nAssist in delivering proactive allocation variance summaries each financial review cycle, and document the reasoning behind the allocation methodology and any changes made during the year.\nSystems, Automation & AI-Driven Analysis\nServe as a hands-on driver of the team’s FP&A tech stack, using Anaplan, Claude, and Microsoft 365 (Copilot, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and related tools) as the core toolset for daily work.\nActively participate in and advocate for the Anaplan roadmap on behalf of the C-Suite functions, and represent the team in relevant systems and technology planning forums.\nIdentify and implement process and procedural improvements that streamline recurring work, reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and improve the quality of financial reporting.\nCross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Exposure\nBuild and maintain proactive working relationships with the finance and operations leaders across the C-Suite functions.\nPartner regularly with Accounting, Corporate Finance, and the business-line FP&A teams to ensure cohesive, well-reconciled reporting across teams.\nBASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS\nRequired:\nStrong analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives. The successful candidate must also be adaptable and responsive to evolving business needs.\nBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or another quantitative discipline required.\n1-2 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or financial analysis.\nSolid understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.\nDemonstrated ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights clearly and concisely to senior leadership.\nExceptional attention to detail, with a high degree of initiative and ownership and the ability to move work forward independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.\nResourceful problem-solving skills, including the ability to work through ambiguity, investigate questions, and develop solutions without requiring step-by-step instructions.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.\nDemonstrated ability to prioritize effectively, anticipate needs, ask thoughtful questions, and escalate issues appropriately.\nCollaborative and dependable team member who is equally comfortable working independently and partnering across functions.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.\nPreferred:\nMBA, CFA, or CPA designation preferred.\nExperience with Anaplan or a comparable FP&A planning tool is preferred but not required; candidates should be willing and able to learn the platform.\nExperience using generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot or Claude, to enhance analytical and reporting workflows.\nExperience supporting corporate or shared services functions, or working with cost allocation methodologies, is preferred but not required.\nExperience in real estate or investment management is preferred but not required.\nAdditional Compensation:\nMany factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.\nCorporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.\nOnsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.\nRobust Benefits Offered*:\nCompetitive Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability & Life insurance benefits.
