This role will be responsible for monitoring the risk of multifamily loans and working closely with borrowers and property management agents to identify and create solutions for emerging risks. The successful candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and has a strong knowledge of real estate markets with an emphasis on multifamily assets.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities:\nMonitor the risk profile of a portfolio of performing and watchlist-rated multifamily loans.\n\nServe as the responsible party for all related deliverables or communications between internal and external customers.\n\nMonitor borrower compliance with loan documents to ensure loan covenant compliance requirements are managed effectively.\n\nWork with borrowers, property management agents, and external and internal parties to identify and create solutions to credit weakness, emerging risks, performance defaults, and monetary defaults.\n\nSolicit property operating statements and perform financial statement analysis.\n\nPrepare action plans and/or recommendations on troubled assets for presentation to senior management and investors.\n\nPerform and/or review property site inspections to ensure appropriate maintenance practices by borrowers (as required).\n\nPrepare risk rating recommendations and transfer recommendations for assets within the assigned portfolio.\n\nAssist with routine borrower consent requests within the assigned portfolio (as required).\n\nOther responsibilities and duties as assigned.\n\nExperience, Skills, and Abilities Required:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, and/or a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in multifamily real estate with an emphasis on risk/financial analysis, valuations, relationship management, workouts, capital markets, or asset management.\n\nExperience working with Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac multifamily loans is a plus.\n\nUnderstanding of loan documentation and real estate on a business level.\n\nFirm understanding of the multifamily market to identify softening and deterioration across an assigned portfolio.\n\nFamiliarity with third-party reports such as Physical Condition Assessments, Appraisals, and Broker Opinions of Value.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.\n\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.\n\nGood organizational skills.\n\nStrong verbal and electronic communication skills.\n\nExhibit self-motivation whether working independently or as part of a team.\n\nA strong sense of urgency about solving problems, meeting challenging deadlines, and achieving critical goals.\n\nAt Greystone, we believe that finding creative solutions for our clients comes from the collaboration of people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
