In this role, you will keep business-critical payment systems available around the clock, working alongside development teams to resolve production incidents, drive root cause analysis, and automate your way to more reliable, better-performing services.\nEssential functions\nProduction Reliability & Incident Resolution: Own day-to-day SRE work across tokenization applications, products and services, including maintenance, incident handling and 24x7 application support for multiple large-scale distributed systems.\n\nProactive System Health Analysis: Monitor availability and analyze OS and application metrics with Prometheus, Grafana and ClickHouse to detect problems early, find faults and tune performance with little or no guidance.\n\nRoot Cause Analysis & Client Issues: Investigate issues reported by clients and partners, contribute to RCA, and deliver solutions that prevent recurrence.\n\nAutomation & Platform Tooling: Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications, and create sustainable services through automation and Gen AI–based initiatives.\n\nReliability Engineering & SLOs: Balance product velocity and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives, partnering with development teams on rigorous testing and release procedures.\n\nCapacity & Design Input: Take part in system design consulting, platform management and capacity planning, measuring and optimizing performance to stay ahead of customer needs.\n\nQualifications\nCommercial experience in Site Reliability Engineering or backend production support; hands-on SRE experience is strongly preferred.\n\nIncident Management & Reliability Principles: Strong operational understanding of incident management workflows and reliability engineering practices.\n\nJava Diagnostics: Solid knowledge of Java with a focus on backend troubleshooting, diagnostics and issue resolution in Java-based runtimes.\n\nDatabase Proficiency: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle DB, including CRUD operations and complex data manipulation.\n\nMonitoring & Telemetry: Practical experience with Prometheus and Grafana for system health monitoring, plus familiarity with analytics tools such as ClickHouse.\n\nBackend Orientation: A purely backend focus; mobile application development experience is not required.\n\nWould be a plus\nDistributed Messaging: Awareness of or hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or Hazelcast.\n\nPayments Domain Exposure: Experience supporting high-volume, business-critical transaction systems.\n\nAutomation with Gen AI: Experience applying AI-based tooling to operational automation.\n\nWe offer\nOpportunity to work on bleeding-edge projects\n\nWork with a highly motivated and dedicated team\n\nCompetitive salary\n\nFlexible schedule\n\nBenefits package - medical insurance, sports\n\nCorporate social events\n\nProfessional development opportunities\n\nWell-equipped office\n\nAbout us\nGrid Dynamics (NASDAQ: GDYN) is a leading provider of technology consulting, platform and product engineering, AI, and advanced analytics services.
