This is not just a coding role-you will act as a technical leader, mentor, and change agent, helping drive engineering excellence across the team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will own complex features end-to-end and ensure the highest levels of scalability, reliability, and security.\nYou will:\nLead the design, development, and delivery of high-scale, data-driven applications across the full stack\n\nMentor and guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and pairing sessions, raising the technical bar across the team\n\nChampion engineering best practices, driving improvements in scalability, reliability, observability, and security\n\nCollaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teammates to translate business needs into elegant, well-architected solutions\n\nInfluence system architecture decisions and take the lead on high-impact technical initiatives\n\nServe as a steward of good data practices, ensuring privacy, security, and accuracy of critical datasets\n\nAct as a change agent within the engineering organization-introducing new tools, workflows, and approaches that improve how we deliver software\n\nContribute thought leadership and technical expertise to support our long-term product and technology strategy\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\n7+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in senior-level roles\n\nProven leadership skills: mentoring junior engineers, leading technical initiatives, and driving team-wide improvements\n\nStrong experience building and scaling full-stack applications\n\nProfessional experience with several of the following technologies:\nBackend: Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#\n\nFrontend: React or a similar modern JavaScript framework\n\nDatabases: PostgreSQL or another relational database\n\nDemonstrated experience architecting, building, and maintaining production systems\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical direction and align teams\n\nPreferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities\nExperience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway)\n\nProduction experience with GraphQL (queries, mutations, schema design)\n\nFamiliarity with event-driven and microservice architectures\n\nExposure to multi-tenant systems and role-based access control\n\nTrack record of contributing to architecture and system design in growth-stage SaaS companies\n\nDaily user of AI-enhanced engineering tools (Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)\n\nInterest or experience in integrating LLMs into production systems (prompt engineering, embeddings, structured outputs, or agent-style workflows)\n\nOUR CULTURE\nWe are a lean, fast-moving team that values bold thinking, reliability, and continuous learning.
