Job Title: Housekeeping Staff
Reporting to: Housekeeping Supervisor
Location:Griffith College Dublin
Job Type:Full-Time / Fixed-Term
Job Summary:
The role of housekeeping staff is to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for staff and students.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines
- Removing any identified risks such as trip hazards
- The vacuuming of rooms, corridors and emptying all waste bins
- Cleaning glass and mirrors
- Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces
- Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- Cleaning all common areas
- Ensuring that rooms are odour free
- Reporting anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person
- Keep cleaning area tidy at all times and cleaning materials safely stored
- Maintain polite communication with staff at all times
- Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for staff
- Any other duties that fall within the employee’s capabilities
- Occasional use of ladder, bending, stooping and lifting are required
