The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes and electrical systems equipment to contribute to the production of high-quality food products in compliance with company standards.\nAs a Maintenance Technician your responsibilities will include:\nVisually inspect andtestsmachinery and equipment.\n\nTrouble shooting and repairing equipment byidentifyingissues with machines.\n\nDocumenting work orders using CMMS\n\nCleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.\n\nRepairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.\n\nRepairs andmaintainsthe physical structure of the building.\n\nSet up andoperatemachine tools such as grinder, lathe, drill press, cuttingtorchesor welding equipment. Repairs or fabricates machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.\n\nPerforms PMs (Preventive Maintenance) and PD.M. (Predictive Maintenance) asrequiredand follows up with repairs.\n\nSupporting operations with autonomous maintenance, SOP’s and centerline programs for equipment.\n\nMayoperatea forklift or other PIE asrequired.\n\nFollows NFPA 70, LOTO and OSHA Safety rules.\n\nEnsure that BRC protocols are implemented and audited asrequired.\n\nQualified candidates will have:\nAssociates degree or two-year certificate from college or technical school in Electrical Maintenance Technician, Mechatronics, or equivalent program, OR high school diploma with three years of experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC programming.\n\nExperience handling food production equipment including mixers, fillers, packaging lines, palletizing systems, and bulk delivery systems.\n\nAbility to regularly lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift\n\nAbility to read, write, and speak English fluently, including the ability to read andcomprehendinstructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; and the ability to communicate with individuals and small groups.\n\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\n\nComfort in entering and working in confined spaces.\n\nWorking knowledge or the ability to gain knowledge of RedZone software.\n\nWorking overtime as needed throughout the week, up to and including Saturday work.\n\nAbility to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods during the shift\n\nComfortable working with and around allergens and cleaning chemicals\n\nMust be able to workonsite inOswego, IL location\n\nCandidates must currently be at least 18 years of age ANDpossessunrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.\nWhat will set you apart:\n3-5 years of Multi craft experience (Electrical and Mechanical)\n\n3 monthsofexperience and/or training in a USDA regulated manufacturing environment\n\nPLC experience\n\nWelding certification\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee isfrequentlyrequired to sit,standand walk to communicate and listen effectively. This will require both office and plant floor environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
