Direct activities so that the staff, plant, and materials are used within agreed budgets to produce the highest quality within the best standards. Responsible & accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the production lines. Our intention is to be the industry leader for the chosen categories, creating an area of operational excellence through continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities\nEssential:\nPlanning staff and materials to achieve production targets as per budget. Monitor progress and adjust on a need’s basis.\nPlan, develop and maintain operational structure within the Dry Blending areas to ensure correct allocation of duties, the right supervisory role and responsibility.\nWork to the highest standards to achieve consistent production of high-quality product, prioritising “First Time Quality”.\nTo be responsible and accountable for achieving daily KPI’s, escalating any issues to senior management.\nIn conjunction with internal departments, ensure that the systems for cost effective Dry Blending waste controls are in place.\nTo ensure the management and control of the KPI measurement systems (Yield / Downtime & OEE)\nEnsure we are aligned with internal departments on communication and changes that may affect service levels both internal and external.\nTo ensure that company and departmental guidelines are rigorously always adhered to by all team members including H&S, Hygiene, GMP and Quality & all other key stakeholders.\nIn conjunction with warehouse and supply chain ensure that the stock take, and cycle counts are structured and effective.\nDeliver company training plans and initiatives as and when required.\nDeliver lean initiatives in line with Site / Company strategy.\nOthers:\nThe management of his/her team members including recruitment, training & development, PAGs, absence & grievance disciplinary procedures.\nWork with the GCI team to strive for improvements in the performance of the resources available I.E plant, equipment, and people.\nManage new product introduction within the Dry Blending departments from an operational perspective.\nMaintain strong relationships with all key interfaces & Stake holders.\nTo be the main Dry Blending liaison for customer visits and audits.\nTo undertake any other associated duties that may arise.\nMaintain and develop contacts within the industry to ensure that Griffith remains competitive and up to date within your area of responsibility.\nRequirements\nGood educational background with relevant management qualifications.\nMin 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing.\nMin 3 years’ experience in people management within production environment.\nComputer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft applications.\nGood standard of written and oral communication.\nExperience of working in a lean manufacturing environment with understanding of relevant techniques.\nAn operational background / level of experience would be highly desirable for this role with a proven track record.\nCompensation\n The starting base salary for this position is £31,922.04 + £4,984.68 shift allowance gross per
