Supporting this work is a dedicated placements team responsible for creating and coordinating high-quality placement experiences for our students and building strong partnerships with the organisations that support them.\nWe are looking for an experienced and highly organised Placements Coordinator to help lead this important work. Working closely with the Placement and Partnerships Team Leader, you will coordinate placement operations, support and guide staff, strengthen relationships with industry partners and help us continually improve the way placements are delivered across the School.\nThis is an opportunity to combine operational leadership, relationship management and problem solving in a role that has a direct impact on the student experience and the development of our future workforce.\n Are you someone who enjoys bringing people, processes and partnerships together to make complex operations work well?\nAs Coordinator Placements, you will provide operational leadership and coordination across a diverse portfolio of student placements and Work Integrated Learning activities. You will work closely with professional and academic staff, students and external partners to ensure placements are well planned, responsive and delivered to a high standard.\nIn this role, you will:\nCoordinate the planning, allocation and administration of placements and Work Integrated Learning opportunities across the School\nProvide day-to-day leadership, guidance and support to placement staff, helping build a collaborative and high-performing team\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with placement providers, industry partners and other key stakeholders\nProvide informed advice to students, academic staff and external partners on placement processes, requirements and complex matters\nMonitor placement requirements and compliance obligations and support accreditation activities across relevant disciplines\nUse data, reporting and business systems to identify trends, support planning and inform decision-making\nIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, improve services and strengthen the student and partner experience\nContribute to projects and initiatives designed to increase placement capacity and support the School's future workforce needs.\nAbout You\nYou are a capable and collaborative professional who enjoys making complex operations work. Highly organised and solutions-focused, you can see both the detail required to deliver placements successfully and the bigger picture of how strong placement partnerships contribute to student success and workforce development. You are a confident relationship builder who communicates well with different audiences and knows how to establish trust with students, colleagues and external partners. When challenges arise, you remain calm, exercise sound judgement and focus on finding practical solutions.\nYou will bring experience coordinating complex operational programs, placements, Work Integrated Learning, internships or comparable activities, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.\nYou will also demonstrate:\nExperience supporting, coordinating or leading staff and contributing to a positive team culture\nStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills\nHighly developed communication, negotiation and problem-solving capabilities\nConfidence working with business systems, data and reporting to support informed decisions\nA proactive approach to continuous improvement and service excellence\nRelevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent combination of experience, skills and knowledge.\nMost importantly, you will bring a genuine commitment to creating high-quality placement experiences for students and building strong, sustainable relationships with the partners who make those experiences possible.\nThis is a continuing, full time position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.\nGriffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.\nSalary Range\nThe full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 6 range $94,966 - $101,295 per annum + 17% superannuation.
