About the Opportunity

The GOR Group is partnering with a confidential client to hire experienced Program Managers to lead complex data center construction and infrastructure programs. These positions offer the opportunity to support large-scale digital infrastructure deployments, with an emphasis on structured cabling, fiber systems, telecommunications, and network infrastructure.

You will oversee program execution from planning through completion, aligning project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders around scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality. Success requires a leader who can manage multiple priorities, maintain strong project controls, and translate field activity into clear reporting and timely decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data center construction and infrastructure programs, applying established PMO standards, processes, and methodologies.
  • Manage multiple projects and workstreams across locations, coordinating resources, schedules, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Oversee structured cabling, fiber backbone deployments, fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and MDF/FDF infrastructure activities.
  • Own program budgets, forecasting, milestone tracking, payment events, and schedule performance reporting.
  • Monitor cost and schedule performance, including SPI/CPI metrics, and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor performance, ensuring accountability for scope, timelines, cost, safety, and quality.
  • Partner with field leadership to support labor planning, site execution, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of coordination for clients, internal teams, and external partners, communicating progress, risks, escalations, and decisions.
  • Identify and resolve issues that could affect delivery, customer experience, or financial performance.
  • Drive process improvements that strengthen program consistency, efficiency, and reporting.
  • Lead teams through changing priorities, resolve conflicts, and support sound personnel and resource decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of five years of program management experience.
  • Experience managing complex construction, telecommunications, network infrastructure, or critical infrastructure programs.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, project controls, and subcontractor/vendor management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in team building, stakeholder management, risk management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making.
  • Ability to collaborate across internal functions and external partners while balancing customer expectations and cost controls.
  • Experience leading organizational or process changes and implementing improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and program or project management systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, workforce management, and cloud-based technology platforms.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel approximately 50%, depending on project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification; Six Sigma, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications are also valued.
  • Extensive experience leading structured cabling, fiber infrastructure, telecommunications, network infrastructure, and critical infrastructure construction programs across multiple states or territories.
  • Fifteen or more years of relevant infrastructure and construction leadership experience.
  • Experience managing large annual project portfolios, including portfolios exceeding $180 million.
  • Hands-on knowledge of fiber backbone deployments, fiber splicing, OTDR testing oversight, and MDF/FDF infrastructure.
  • Approximately four years of experience serving as a senior manager on-site, with sustained tenure through major project phases.
  • Extensive leadership experience involving field labor, safety, and quality.
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce and project portfolio management tools.
