GRNET is hosting the DAEDALUS supercomputer, ranked 31st among the fastest supercomputers worldwide and will also serve the Greek AI factory - Pharos with special needs for AI workflows.\nWe are currently looking for a technically-oriented Project Manager with a track record in project management and wide technical background, preferably in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, such as parallel computing, computer architecture and machine learning, to join our team working on the management and delivery of EC Projects for the European Infrastructures and Projects Directorate.\nYou will be part of a team of established Projects Managers and engineers that nourish technical competency, delivering solutions/services for e-Infrastructures in a number of strategic EC Projects in the areas of EuroHPC JU, Global Connectivity, EuroQCI and European Open Science Cloud amongst others.\nYour Tasks:\nDevelop project concept, scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility\nPreparing and writing proposals for projects, independently or in collaboration with other European partners \nManage running projects\nParticipate to and manage meetings, including administrative and technical ones\nContribute to deliverables of active projects \nCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation\nContribute to designing technical solutions for scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available services targeting wide user base\nRepresent the company in project consortium meetings in Europe and beyond\nRequirements\nYour Profile:\nMinimum of 2 years of proven experience in management of technical projects\nSolid technical background in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.\nExcellent writing and verbal communication skills in English \nExperience in contributing to projects in the framework of national and European Programmes \nSelf-driven, ability to take initiative, ability to accept challenges and undertake responsibilities \nInnovative spirit and team orientation\nCommunication and presentation skills\nWill be considered a plus:\nParticipation in HPC projects\nUnderstanding or hands-on experience in parallel computing, computer architecture and/or machine learning\nExcellent communication skills\nOrganizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills\nWorking with agile methodologies\nRelated certifications \nPersonal Characteristics:\nCreativity, innovation spirit and team player\nDynamic personality, ability to accept challenges and undertake responsibilities\nEnthusiasm, persistence and willingness to deliver results on time\nBenefits\nWhat we offer:\nOpportunities for International collaborations, European and global exposure\nOpportunities for development of professional skills through trainings, seminars and conferences\nModern, friendly and innovative working environment\nGRNET is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
