The members of our team are resourceful, critical thinkers that pride themselves on integrity and efficiency.\nAbout the role:\nThe Senior Inventory Accountant's primary focus is to ensure the accuracy of company’s inventory. This role will perform and review reconciliation of store inventories across our stores. The Inventory Accounting team works closely with our auditors, warehouse teams and our Independent Operators to ensure that our inventories are accurate. The ideal candidate will have a solid finance/accounting background, in-depth knowledge of accounting principles, strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills, and ideally a good understanding of retail business. Exceptional organizational skills are a must to meet tight deadlines of this role. This role reports to the Director - Accounting.\nResponsibilities Include:\nReconciling retail store inventories across our stores.\nPrepare and/or review the retail store inventories reconciliations across our stores.\nAssist in providing requested deliverables to the internal and external auditors in conjunction with quarter review and year-end audit processes.\nUnderstand the daily activities of the department and aid in coordinating and managing the period end close process to ensure daily and period goals and deadlines are met.\nPerform variance analysis for assigned areas of responsibility and partners with corporate department leaders and other company personnel to ensure variances are adequately explained.\nPerform month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and reports related to retail inventories.\nPerform account analysis on general ledger detail and prepare journal entries based on this analysis.\nProcess certain manual inventory transfer transactions in the inventory system.\nMonitor and improve accounting and reporting processes.\nPrepares expense accruals, reconciliation and explain fluctuations.\nAbout The Pay:\nBase Salary Range: $35 - $40Hourly\n401(k) Profit Sharing.\nMedical, Dental, Vision & More!\nFinal compensation will be determined based upon experience and skills and may vary based on location.\nAbout you:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting/finance is required.\nStrong Microsoft Office/Excel skills and experience with an ERP system required (Oracle or SAP).\nDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProfessional Attributes/Work Ethic: strong communication skills (Oral and Written), detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, innovative, self-motivated, decisive, accountable, and committed to excellence and high standards.\nMay be required to work overtime on occasion.\nTo learn about how we collect, use and secure your personal information.
