This route typically averages about 45 hours a week.\nStarting wage is$36.00/HR.\nSafety Sensitive Position: YES\nA DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DRIVER:\nClick here to learn more: http://www.maddash.net/videos/waste-connections/driver\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nIn this position you will be operating an automated side load vehicle on specified routes depending on business needs.\nAbility to safely service customers throughout the day, completing up to 900 stops per day.\nAbility to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the route tablet or assigned by the dispatcher.\nPerform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.\nAbility to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.\nOperate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash/recycle at designated facilities.\nCourteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.\nWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:\nExtensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting (50+ pounds), pushing, or pulling required of objects over 100 pounds.\nWork environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.\nThe employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration.
