Join us, where we’ll make a greater impact together.\nWhat You'll do:\nGroundswell is growing and looking for an Appian Business Analyst to join our team! This person will be responsible for partnering with our Appian product teams and potentially engaging customers to generate requirements specific to Appian applications. \nResponsibilities:\nSupport Product Dev Managers in defining the minimum viable product (MVP) for a given application / product and the supporting release plans.\n\nConduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process improvement/reengineering analysis, process design, and models BPM applications, user interface design, and data interface requirement discovery.\n\nConduct discovery workshops with customer stakeholders to collect and document solution requirements.\n\nCollaborate with Product Dev Managers and technology stakeholders (e.g., Systems Architects) to define new and or enhanced product requirements and functionality.\n\nCollaborate with Product Dev Managers to support the prioritization of feature enablers defined by architects within the product roadmap.\n\nDeliver and maintain user engagement analytics for the purpose of characterizing users (i.e. sectors, demographics, needs, requirements, etc.) and supporting case studies and other anecdotal information\n\nAuthor user stories by breaking down big problems into small stories that provide value to users, with detailed acceptance criteria that developers and QA can rely upon to complete their tasks.\n\nWork continuously with teams to provide answers, feedback and direction on work items, enablers, user stories.\n\nConsult Product Dev Managers for guidance and clarity on the product vision, roadmap, requirements.\n\nCollaborate with team to define the sprint plan based on the priority outlined within the overall product vision and roadmap.\n\nRefine product requirements based on the input obtained through user engagements, sprint showcases, and demos.\n\nCollaborate with the team to prepare the estimates for the user stories within the product backlog.\n\nConduct the formal review and acceptance of user stories implemented by a team.\n\nIdentify, track, and manage risks; escalate when necessary.\n\nIdentify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.\n\nDesign and implement complex data models based on customer application requirements.\n\nUse tools such as TFS, Jira and Github for different project management responsibilities\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Business, IT or related field\n\n5+ years of experience in performing business analysis and refining requirements for information systems.\n\nStrong communication at all levels of an organization (written and verbal)\n\nDetail oriented with experience working on several products at one time\n\nExperience working with common process-based documentation methods including use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.\n\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Groundswell, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
