Learn more about the perks of joining our teamhere.\nA bit about you\nAs a Staff Accountant at GroundTruth, you will support the Accounting and Finance organization in month-end close, reconciliations, compliance, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. You are detail-oriented, organized, and analytical, with a solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting close processes.\nYou are a self-starter who takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, proactively follows through on tasks, and works effectively in a fast-paced environment. You collaborate well across teams, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver accurate and timely work.\nYou also bring a continuous improvement and AI-minded approach, always looking for opportunities to streamline processes, automate recurring tasks, and improve operational efficiency.\nYou will\nSupport month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries related to but not limited to compensation, vendor accruals, prepaid accounts, fixed assets, expense allocations, and intangibles.\nPrepare P&L and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances for assigned accounts.\nSupport intercompany reconciliations and assist with elimination entries. \nPerform bank reconciliations and own cash management activities. \nSupport audit and management reporting requirements with accurate and timely deliverables. \nSupport tax filing requests, business registrations, and other compliance-related activities as needed. \nHandle ad hoc requests related to financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. \nCollaborate cross-functionally with Finance, BI, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related issues. \nParticipate in cross-team training and coverage planning, ensuring adequate backup and knowledge sharing within the accounting team. \nAssist and support other non-month-end ad hoc projects or requests. \nSupport other functions such as Billing, Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable or other unassigned areas when business needs arise. \nManage multiple priorities in a fast-paced month-end close environment. \nAdopt an AI and automation mindset by proactively identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, automate recurring tasks, and improve accounting process efficiency.\nYou have\nThis is our ideal wish list, but most people don’t check every box on every job description.
