Apply today!\nGroundworks is seeking a talented Engineer to join our tribe in SeaTac, WA!\nGroundworks strives to provide a World Class Customer Experience to our consumers. The Engineer is a contributing member of the Engineering Team by supporting the Administrative, Production, and Sales Teams of Groundworks through helping drive revenue, reduce costs, and improve quality through our aligned culture.\nJob Responsibilities\nEngineering review, oversight, and production of permit submission packages\n\nCollaborate with other engineers and drafting team to organize, prepare, and review permit submission packages\n\nInteract with Certified Field Inspectors for development of work scope\n\nPerform site visits to local projects for Engineering Evaluation of structures for the more difficult and complex and commercial projects with preparation of limited reports and repair designs as needed\n\nInteract with Production Crews for resolution of construction issues due to unforeseen site condition, confirm as-built documentation for successful documentation.\n\nInterpret regional or local building code requirements\n\nCommunicate with building and municipal officials regarding ongoing and completed projects\n\nComplete continuing education for maintaining professional licensing\n\nDevelop and deliver training presentations to Admin, Production, and Sales teams as necessary, in person and/or remotely\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nQualifications\nBS Engineering, MS Preferred; PE Required, SE Desirable\n\n5+ years experience in structural or geotechnical design for commercial, residential and mixed-use projects\n\nComputer skills (advanced) Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat (or equivalent)\n\nMeeting and group facilitation\n\nStatistical analysis of incident data\n\nDesign and detailing competence with wood, concrete, and steel structures\n\nSolid working knowledge of building codes, gravity, and lateral systems desirable\n\nConstruction observation experience a plus\n\nExperience with preparation and interpretation of detailed engineering studies and analysis reports\n\nExcellent communication, organization, multi-tasking, and strong team skills a must\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, meet project schedules and maintain quality standards\n\nRequirements\nFull-time\n\nPosition could require 15% or more of overnight travel\n\nHybrid working conditions with 3+ days in office each week at our SeaTac, WA location\n\nMust be able to lift 20 to 30 pounds infrequently\n\nOccasionally enter crawl spaces or otherwise tight spaces for inspection purposes\n\nValid Driver’s License\n\nWhat we provide for our employees\nCompetitive base compensation ($100-$150,000) with lucrative bonus potential\n\nEquity\n\nThe best-in-class training programs\n\nAdvanced leadership training opportunities\n\nBenefits include Medical, Dental, Optical, Long/Short Term Disability, Life insurance, 401(k) with a company match after applicable waiting periods\n\nPaid time off including 6 holidays after applicable waiting period\n\nGroundworks® is the leading provider of Foundation Repair, Crawl Space Encapsulation, Basement Waterproofing, and Concrete Lifting & Stabilization.\nWith locations across the USA and Canada, Groundworks is the leading foundation solutions and water management company in North America!
