Based in Waltham, Massachusetts and New York City, the team invests across public and private markets, with a focus on investment-grade and high-yield corporate credit, real estate, structured products, and other alternative strategies.\nThe Associate position is located in our NY office and will be dedicated to specializing in ABS / Specialty Finance. If you like a strong team dynamic and have a sense of entrepreneurialism, this is a great opportunity for you!\nWhat You'll Do:\nEvaluate ABS / Specialty Finance opportunities in both public and private markets\nContribute to all phases of the investment process: idea generation, credit analysis and underwriting, transaction structuring, trade execution, and surveillance\nAssist in deal term negotiations, review transaction materials and perform analysis\nConstruct and model bespoke, securitized structures for consumer and esoteric assets\nInterface with bank sales and trading teams; build and develop relationships; manage incoming deal flow and forward investment pipeline\nIdentify new investment ideas and opportunities\nSupport ad-hoc projects as needed\nWe are looking for:\n3-5 years of relevant experience in an investment management firm, investment bank, rating agency, accounting firm, or consulting firm.\nExperience in one or more asset classes: ABS, asset backed lending, specialty finance\nSelf-starter capable of independently executing on existing strategy who takes accountability for his/her work product\nStrong team player with a collaborative mindset.\nSolid technical capabilities with financial modeling and cash flow analysis experience\nProficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Intex, and other financial tools.\nAttention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet tight deal/project deadlines\nHigh personal and ethical standards\nCompensation:\nOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $130,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,000/year plus bonus in our highest geographic market.
