You will drive engineering strategy, solve complex technical challenges, influence technical direction across teams, and raise the engineering bar through mentorship and technical excellence.\nHow You'll Contribute:\nTechnical Leadership\nDefine and evolve the long-term architecture for React Native and native iOS applications.\n\nLead architecture reviews and establish engineering standards and best practices across the mobile platform.\n\nDrive critical technical decisions around scalability, performance, security, and developer productivity.\n\nDesign reusable platform components and native modules that improve engineering velocity.\n\nPartner with engineering leadership to shape the mobile technology roadmap.\n\nDevelopment & Delivery\nLead the implementation of complex, business-critical mobile initiatives.\n\nImprove application performance, reliability, memory usage, and battery efficiency.\n\nDrive testing strategy, release quality, and CI/CD improvements across the mobile platform.\n\nChampion observability, monitoring, and operational excellence for mobile applications.\n\nCollaboration & Mentorship\nMentor senior and junior engineers while growing technical capability across the organization.\n\nPartner with Product, Design, Backend, Platform, and Security teams to deliver scalable solutions.\n\nLead technical planning for cross-team initiatives and build alignment on architectural decisions.\n\nDocument architectural decisions, technical standards, and engineering best practices.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\nTechnical Skills\n8+ years of professional mobile development experience.\n\n5+ years of production React Native development.\n\nExpert proficiency in Swift and native iOS development.\n\nDeep understanding of iOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI, application lifecycle, memory management, and concurrency.\n\nStrong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern React Native architecture.\n\nExperience designing scalable mobile architectures, reusable platform components, and styling systems using Uniwind/Tailwind.\n\nStrong understanding of mobile security, performance optimization, and reliability.\n\nPlatform Expertise\nExperience leading architecture for large-scale production mobile applications.\n\nExpertise in App Store release management and mobile platform governance.\n\nStrong understanding of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.\n\nExperience balancing React Native and native development based on technical requirements.\n\nKnowledge of mobile security best practices, encryption, deep linking, push notifications, and background processing.\n\nTools & Practices\nGit version control and collaborative workflows.\n\nRESTful APIs and GraphQL integration.\n\nTesting frameworks and mobile automation strategies.\n\nCI/CD tools (Expo, GitLab).\n\nPerformance monitoring and observability tools.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with Android development (Kotlin/Java).\n\nContributions to open-source mobile projects.\n\nExperience with Firebase, Sentry, or similar monitoring platforms.\n\nUnderstanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, VoiceOver).\n\nFamiliarity with mobile analytics and A/B testing platforms.\n\nCompensation:\nOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $190,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $250,000/year plus bonus in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.\nBenefits Highlights:\nEmployees who meet benefit eligibility guidelines and work 30 hours or more weekly, have the ability to enroll in Group 1001’s benefits package.
