Your responsibilities will include managing a team of shipping and receiving associates, monitoring inventory levels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining lofty standards of service.\nThe ideal candidate for the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor position is a dynamic and experienced logistics professional with strong leadership abilities and a deep understanding of shipping and receiving processes. They possess excellent organizational and communication skills, enabling them to manage a team effectively and ensure seamless operations within the department.\nKey Responsibilities\n Essential Functions:\nProvide leadership and direction to the team to deliver and execute shipping and receiving outcomes and meet safety, quality, production, financial and customer goals as defined by the client requirements and business objectives.\nSupervise and manage the activities of shipping and receiving staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.\nInspect product to ensure adherence to customer specifications, ensure orders are checked for content and labeling, note any discrepancies, and ensure that all R&M and Ad-hoc orders are picked and processed for the day.\nOversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.\nCoordinate and track outbound shipments, ensuring timely dispatch and adherence to customer requirements.\nWork with freight carriers to obtain quotes for multiple distribution channels and capture proof of delivery (POD) reporting.\nMaintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical inventory checks.\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the shipping and receiving area.\nCollaborate with other departments to address and resolve any shipping or receiving issues.\nImplement and improve standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.\nMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shipping and receiving operations.\nManage relationships with carriers and vendors to negotiate rates and ensure reliable service.\nJob Qualifications\nEducation/Certifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nPreferred Education/Certifications:\nEducation in logistics, supply chain management, or related field\nForklift Certified \nExperience:\n1+ years of experience in warehouse processes, shipping, and receiving.\n1+ years’ experience supervising and/or developing others.\n Preferred Experience:\nExperience working with freight carriers to obtain quotes for multiple distribution channels and to capture proof of delivery (POD) reporting.\nFreight management experience\n Skills and Qualifications:\nStrong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, inventory management, and warehouse operations.\nExcellent leadership and team management skills.\nStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities.\nProficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.\nAbility to work in a demanding environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.\nPreferred Skills and
