Discover how the silicon battery is transforming energy solutions globally with Group14's SCC55® technology and modular manufacturing.

Founded with the vision to electrify everything, Group14 is the leading commercial manufacturer of advanced silicon battery materials. Our breakthrough technology, SCC55®, is unlocking transformational performance for rechargeable batteries that power the world’s most critical innovations, from electric vehicles and AI-enabled electronics to eVTOLs and grid-scale energy storage. By enabling higher-density, faster-charging batteries, we are helping accelerate the global transition to an electrified future.

Over the past year, Group14 reached major milestones that underscore our momentum. We closed a $463 million Series D round, bringing our total equity raised to more than $1 billion, and acquired full ownership of a battery materials factory in South Korea, strengthening global supply chains and scaling production to meet surging demand. Headquartered in Washington state with manufacturing operations worldwide, Group14 is backed by world-class investors and customers, including Porsche, ATL, Microsoft, and SK Inc. As we continue to grow, we are building a team united by passion for shaping the future of energy.

Group14 Technologies is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Business Development organization to drive customer adoption and technical qualification of our silicon-carbon composite anode material, SCC55®. Functioning as the key technical bridge between commercial partners, including top-tier automotive OEMs, consumer electronics leaders, and global cell manufacturers, and internal engineering teams, you will oversee joint development agreements, sampling pipelines, and customer validation milestones from initial engagement through commercial program delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Customer Technical Lead: Serve as the primary technical program interface for commercial partners, facilitating technical deep-dives, specifications matching, and Joint Development Agreements (JDAs).
  • Qualification Management: Drive customer sampling programs and cell qualification cycles to meet customer gating requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with program managers, business development managers, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing Operations to translate customer specifications into internal product roadmaps and technical deliverables.
  • Risk & Timeline Execution: Establish project scopes, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure key program milestones are delivered on schedule.
  • Technical Advocacy: Synthesize OEM testing feedback and battery testing data to refine application guidelines and present technical progress to external and internal executive stakeholders.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Language Requirement: Fluency in Mandarin (native or professional full-working proficiency, written and spoken) is required to interface directly with major Asian cell manufacturing partners and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Education: B.S. or M.S. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrochemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 4+ years of technical program management, application engineering, or technical customer success experience in the lithium-ion battery, advanced materials, or automotive/EV sectors.
  • Domain Knowledge: Hands-on familiarity with lithium-ion cell chemistry, silicon-anode development, electrode formulation, and battery testing standards.
  • Communication & Execution: Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder technical projects, translate complex data for commercial teams, and navigate high-stakes OEM engagements.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:

  • Direct experience with silicon-carbon composite materials or advanced battery chemistry scaling.
  • Prior exposure to automotive OEM cell qualification standards (e.g., APQP, PPAP) or tier-1 cell manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for partner meetings and facility visits.
