Data Engineer

Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our Bangalore-based team, focusing on building scalable data pipelines and robust cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining complex data architectures that power our core business intelligence and analytics platforms.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders, to translate intricate data requirements into high-performance technical solutions. By leveraging your expertise in Python and Azure, you will directly impact our ability to deliver real-time insights, optimize operational efficiency, and drive data-backed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy scalable data pipelines using Python to ensure seamless data ingestion and transformation for enterprise-level applications.

- Optimize complex SQL queries and database schemas to improve performance and reliability for critical business reporting tools.

- Manage and scale cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring high availability and cost-efficiency for our global data ecosystem.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify data gaps and implement automated solutions that streamline reporting workflows.

- Maintain rigorous data quality standards and security protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

- Mentor junior team members by conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in software engineering and cloud architecture.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated proficiency in developing production-grade applications using Python and advanced SQL for large-scale data manipulation.

- Extensive hands-on experience in architecting and managing cloud-native solutions within the Azure ecosystem, specifically focusing on data services.

- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and engineering output.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex system bottlenecks and implement proactive performance tuning.

- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related technical domain, with a track record of delivering high-impact projects.

- Adaptability to work in a hybrid environment in Bangalore, fostering collaborative relationships within a high-performing, agile team structure.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field from a premier institute.
