Located just ten minutes from downtown, GRTC’s headquarters powers 30,000 transit trips a day, with more routes & regional connections in development as well as a second bus rapid transit line that will complement the Pulse, our ITDP Bronze Medal-winning flagship system that serves as the spine of our network.\nSUMMARY:\nThe Senior Capital Project Manager leads end-to-end delivery of transit capital projects, including planning, design, environmental review, procurement, construction, and commissioning of bus rapid transit and transit administrative and maintenance facilities.\nThe position serves as the primary project contact, guiding stakeholders through all design and construction phases while coordinating due diligence, contractor selection, and cross-functional team collaboration. The successful candidate will maintain master schedules across multiple projects, manage performance against critical milestones, and ensure timely project completion within established parameters.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAct as the primary Senior-level contact for the duration of the project.\nWorking with the Director of Capital Construction and Facility Improvement and the Capital Improvement Program Manager, Develop and execute project-specific goals, schedules, budgets, and strategies,\nEstablish and maintain project goals and success criteria that meet GRTC needs, document expectations, and identify and address issues appropriately,\nEnsure projects comply with FTA requirements, including NEPA, Title VI, CIG, and other federal grant funding programs,\nCoordinate any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team.\n\nWork with GRTC’s Grants Administration office and consultants to draft funding requests for local, state, and federal grant opportunities.\nMaintain communication with vendors, stakeholders, and internal partners throughout the project lifecycle.\nIn cooperation with GRTC’s Marketing and Communications department and project consultants, Oversee development and implementation of public outreach efforts.\nRepresent GRTC at public meetings, board meetings, and community events\n\nDevelop detailed project budgets and cost projections based on a clearly defined set of budget assumptions.\nDevelop and maintain Master Project Schedules and manage the successful execution of projects within required timeframes.\nUnderstand and consistently deliver on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nWorking with GRTC Procurement, Prepare various solicitations needed for vendor and contractor services,\nParticipate in the solicitation process, including vendor selection.\n\nForecast monthly spending on all projects in alignment with GRTC’s capital plan.\nFacilitate all critical project meetings and coordination exercises with internal and external stakeholders.\nGuide the internal and external stakeholders and architectural team through the design process from concept to final construction documents.\nManage construction contractors through onboarding, construction, commissioning, punch-list, and closeout.\nOTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:\nIn accordance with our mission statement, additional duties and/or tasks may be assigned to maintain seamless service for the agency.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
