The Maintenance Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, controlling, and monitoring of the maintenance department to ensure the continuous ability of the equipment to service our customers while maintaining high standards in quality, food safety, and safety and meeting the department’s budget. The specific duties will include the following:\nDirect, plan, control and monitor the overall operation of the maintenance department. \nEnsure the continuous ability of the equipment to service our customers while maintaining high standards in quality, food safety, and safety and meeting the department’s budget. \nDevelop, implement and oversee plans to accomplish departmental goals and objectives as per budget. \nDirectly supervise Maintenance Supervisors. \nConduct annual performance appraisals for supervisors. \nPerform safety and sanitation audits. \nParticipate as an active member in the safety, quality and food safety committees.\nConduct training sessions for the department employees as needed, including safety training, food safety and technical among others. \nPurchase all materials required for the operation of the department including safety equipment. \nParticipate in the safety committee meetings and participate in special safety assignments. \nReport any accidents and/or illnesses within 24 hours and perform accident investigation following the Company’s protocol. \nConduct safety training for new hires. \nMaintain documentation of all training activities. \nMonitor and ensure work order system operates effectively (ensure safety, food safety and other operational work orders are addressed promptly). \nPerforms in a safety manner and complies with all the OSHA regulations. \nEnforce all company policies, procedures and regulations. \nEnsure equipment performs in a safety manner and complies with all the OSHA regulations. \nCollaborate in the development of the department budget and productivity parameters once per year. \nPrepare written reports for management. \nDeliver oral presentations as requested by upper management. \nDevelop and implement improvements and changes in the work instructions, job descriptions and training needs. \nKeep employees informed on factors relating to their work assignment, work progress, and opportunity for advancement. \nMaintain and improve the preventive maintenance program, ensuring the preventive maintenance scheduled is followed accordingly. \nEnsure all plant equipment is properly maintained per manufacturer recommendations and in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedule. \nEstablish and maintain productivity standards. \n\nMinimum Qualifications\nRequires a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.\nRequires two years of experience in the following:\nDeveloping and testing electrical, control, and automation machinery in production and manufacturing plant environments;\nDeveloping and maintaining preventative maintenance programs;\nEstablishing and maintaining productivity standards;\nReading and analyzing electrical diagrams;\nInstalling, programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives and all types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment;\nInstalling and repairing electrical conduit, cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls and grounding;\nDisassembling, repairing and reassembling gear boxes, fans conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment related to electrical troubleshooting;\nProviding training in safety, operations preventative maintenance, productivity, company standards and procedures, and occupational safety regulations and compliance. \nStaff management. \nProject management.\n\nGruma Corporation and its affiliates, including but not limited to Azteca Milling, L.P., are committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender, age, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state, or local law.
