Installs troubleshoots and repairs solid state and electronic equipment.\nInstalls operates, maintains and checks all types of mechanical equipment as directed.\nInspects machines, takes any required test and completes reports and paperwork as required for company record.\nUses machine parts such as lathes and mills when necessary due to breakdown or as directed by supervision.\nRead and make proper installations of semi-complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams as instructed.\nPerform PM and repair work in accordance with A.I.B. and G.M.P. principals.\nDiagnoses and employs proper procedure of troubleshooting to determine when parts need replacement and when repairs are necessary.\nDismantles, repairs and re-assembles gear boxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment when directed or when directly related to electrical trouble shooting.\nDismantles repairs, and re-assembles electrical motors, relays. Timers and all allied electrical equipment.\nPossess working knowledge of hydraulic systems, air systems and be able to read semi-complex diagrams and troubleshoot working systems.\nInstalls and repairs electrical conduit, cables, piping, tubing including all necessary connections, controls and grounding as directed.\nPossess working knowledge of dust and fume collectors and performs necessary repairs on these items as directed.\nOperates mobile lift truck and hoisting equipment in the performance of maintenance work. Must have forklift operators license.\nPossesses knowledge of simple rigging when necessary for equipment moving and relocation.\nPossesses some knowledge of lubricants for all types of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machines as directed.\nHelps maintain spare parts inventory for plant as directed by checking out parts from parts mezzanine, using parts ordering procedure, and re-stocking inventory.\nTrains less experienced employees as required.\nPerforms preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments and repairs as indicated on the formal CPMS program. Completes work orders and assigned work as directed by supervisor or lead.\nCompletes all reports and paperwork as required for company record keeping.\nTroubleshoots and repairs food processing and industrial machinery.\nCleans and paints all repaired equipment as directed.\nMaintains inventory of industrial maintenance tools per department tool list (necessary personal tools of the trade)\nCompletes tasks indicated on work orders, inspections and A.I.B. checklists as directed by supervisor.\nKeeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned.\nAssists in the training of new personnel.\nProvides suggestions to improve process, procedures and department in support of company goals\nFollows Company, GMP , Quality, Food Safety, and Safety policies to ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard.\nFollows all food safety principles and legal requirements\nMaintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.\nWorks in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements.\nParticipates in monthly departmental meetings.\nMust work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.\nOther duties, as assigned.\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\nHigh School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required. 6 years of industrial maintenance/electrical experience required. Food/beverage processing or packaging environment preferred. Certified in Allen Bradley PLC programming or equivalent preferred.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :\nFunctional Knowledge in electricity, welding, PLC, mechanical, etc.\nAbility to disassemble, repair and reassemble gear boxer, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment when directed related to electrical troubleshooting.\nPossess functional knowledge of lubricants for all types of machines and knowledge of dust and fume collectors.\nAbility to install, programs and troubleshoots Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)\nAbility to install and repair electrical conduit cables, piping, and tubing, including all necessary connections, controls and grounding as directed.\nPossess functional working knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulic systems, pneumatic system, air systems, and be able to read semi-complex diagrams and troubleshoot working systems.\nPossess a Functional working knowledge of the following equipment:\nMIG/TIG welding equipment\nArc welding equipment\nGas and plasma cutting equipment.\nPower tools such as drill presses, cut off saws, lathes, mills and portable table tools\nElectrical test equipment such as voltmeter, megger, ammeter, diode, SCR tester, ohm meter, amp meter, etc.\nMust be able to read and understand the basic and semi-complex electrical and mechanical blueprints and use simple shop math and possess knowledge of federal, state, local electrical codes.\nAbility to read and make proper installations of complex electrical circuits from wiring diagrams as instructed.\nFunctional knowledge of oven combustion setup and safety devices troubleshooting and repairs\nAbility to install, operate, maintain, check, and troubleshoot all types of AC and DC electrical and mechanical equipment.\nAbility to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)\nAbility to lift 50 pounds.\nCommunication Skills, computer, and good math skills\nBilingual (Spanish / English) preferred.\nOur Full Benefits Package includes Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Life insurance and AD&D Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance, and Flexible Spending Accounts.
