Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives.\nAs our new Back Office Manager/Application Engineering Manager, West US & Canada, you'll be leading and developing a Back Office Engineering team that delivers accurate, timely technical support and quotation excellence while driving continuous improvement across processes, performance, and customer experience.\nYou'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.\nThis position follows a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and will be based out of our Brookshire, TX office.\nWhat you will be doing\nAs a key part of the Customer Sales & Support Center (CSSC) team, you'll create impact by building a culture of operational excellence and technical leadership that ensures customers receive best-in-class engineering support and pumping solutions.\nYour main responsibilities include:\nLead, coach, and develop the Back Office Engineering team-setting clear expectations, managing workload priorities, and driving accountability for performance and professional growth.\nProvide technical leadership on complex customer inquiries, product selection, and pumping solutions, reviewing and approving quotations and proposal packages for accuracy and commercial soundness.\nMonitor team performance using CRM, Power BI, and ERP tools to track productivity, response times, and quality-leveraging data to proactively address gaps and improve effectiveness.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance the team's ability to exceed customer expectations.\nPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product Specialists, and Engineering to resolve issues, support business growth, and share best practices across the organization.\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession planning to ensure the team is resourced and positioned for long-term success.\nWhat makes you a great fit\nAbove all, you're a hands-on technical leader with a passion for people development, a track record of building high-performing teams, and the ability to balance operational excellence with outstanding customer support in a fast-paced engineering environment. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
