Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.\nAs our new Back Office/Application Engineer, you will be providing expert technical support and tailored engineering solutions to customers while strengthening our team's capabilities across product sizing, system integration, and application engineering.\nYou'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.\nYou will follow a hybrid work model based in our office in Brookshire, TX.\nWhat you will be doing\nYou'll create impact by delivering advanced technical solutions that ensure optimal pump system performance and elevate the customer experience across diverse applications.\nYour main responsibilities include:\nProvide second-level technical support including detailed product sizing, application engineering, system integration, and accessory selection for complex customer inquiries.\nSupport sales teams by managing technical aspects of tenders and mid-scale projects, delivering accurate specifications and engineering calculations.\nHandle escalated inquiries and quotations across multiple channels including phone, email, live chat, and instant messaging.\nIdentify business opportunities and hand over leads to external sales while implementing value-added services to strengthen customer relationships.\nProvide technical guidance and solutions for heat exchanger and accessories quotations, supporting other team members.\nWhat makes you a great fit\nAbove all, you are a technically skilled problem solver with strong customer engagement instincts, solid pump and pumping systems knowledge, and the ability to juggle multiple complex challenges while building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders. We would also imagine that you have:\nA bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience.\nFundamental product and application knowledge of pumps, control panels, motors, variable speed drives, and pump accessories.\nWorking knowledge of SAP (CRM/SD) and proficiency in MS Office applications.\nExcellent written and spoken English with strong communication and relationship-building skills.\nIt is a plus if you also have:\nApplication engineering experience in the pump industry.\nPrevious experience in a customer service or technical support environment.\nProven ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively deliver solutions.\nWhy you will love working here\nWe care! Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
