Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives.\nAs our new Configuration Engineering Lead & Project Manager/Engineer, you'll be providing strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Configuration Engineering team while directly managing Light Engineered Project orders for Peerless Pump, ensuring contractual, technical, commercial, and schedule requirements are met with excellence. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.\nWhat you will be doing:\nAs a key part of the Configuration Engineering team, you'll create impact by building a high-performing engineering team and optimizing project execution processes that improve cycle times, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across Peerless Pump.\nYour main responsibilities include:\nLead, coach, and develop the Configuration Engineering team by setting clear performance expectations, identifying skill gaps, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement\nManage and engineer all assigned Light Engineered Project orders, serving as the primary customer interface throughout the order lifecycle and ensuring timely resolution of issues\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, metrics, and performance data to optimize processes, reduce cycle times, and standardize engineering and execution best practices\nEstablish execution strategies, including engineering, sourcing, documentation, and scheduling requirements necessary for successful project delivery and lead cross functional teams to ensure projects progress according to established timelines and contractual commitments.\nMaintain responsibility for project execution performance, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.\nEvaluate and manage customer-driven changes, assessing impacts to cost, schedule, and resources while supporting change order development and scope negotiations\nProactively identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks that may impact delivery, profitability, or customer satisfaction\nWhat makes you a great fit:\nAbove all, you're a technically strong engineering leader with proven ability to balance team development and hands-on project execution, combining deep rotating equipment expertise with excellent communication and customer relationship skills. We'd also imagine that you are/have:\nA Four-year technical or engineering degree, or equivalent experience in design, applications, or contract management\nA Strong background with rotating equipment including drivers, controls, and interface systems\nProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) and working knowledge of AutoCAD\nDemonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines\nIt's a plus if you also have:\nAdvanced understanding of pump principles, pump construction, hydraulics, and product application\nWorking knowledge of CATIA and/or SAP (MM, SD, and PS modules)\nExperience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives in a manufacturing or engineered-to-order environment\nPlease note that relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have the authorization to work in the USA without support.\nThe salary range for this position is $82,100 to $120,645 per year. Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Grundfos’s & Peerless Pump Company total compensation and benefits package for employees.
