Then join us in our mission to pioneer smarter solutions for moving and transforming water, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing quality of life for people.\nAs our new Product Development Engineer, you will be developing and maintaining telemetry server applications across the full product lifecycle-from design and coding through deployment, testing, and customer support-within our SaaS platform.\nThe role is based at the Grundfos Millfield office in Surrey, UK.\nWhat you will be doing\nAs a key part of the Metasphere Product Software team, you'll create impact by Delivering robust, well-documented telemetry solutions that empower a global customer base to gain real-time insights from their connected systems.\nYour main responsibilities include:\nTake ownership of your tasks and deliver across the full product lifecycle for telemetry server applications: design, development, documentation, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and maintenance\nInvestigate and resolve complex system issues in SaaS telemetry environments, following through from diagnosis to resolution\nContribute to stable, operationally reliable SaaS environments including server administration and infrastructure improvements\nProvide clear, technically sound support to the operations team and customers through ticketing and direct investigation\nIntegrate partner technologies into end-to-end telemetry solutions and facilitate product transfer across the value chain\nProduce maintainable, well-documented code, tests, and user-facing materials while sharing knowledge across the team\nWhat makes you a great fit\nAbove all, you are a hands-on software engineer with 3-4 years of experience building server-side applications, comfortable working independently across the full product lifecycle and driven to see issues through to resolution. We would also imagine that you have:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience) plus 3-4 years of software development experience\nStrong programming skills in Java or C, Python, and SQL with PostgreSQL database experience\nHands-on DevOps and CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Docker, Git, and Linux shell scripting\nExperience with REST API integration, Agile/SCRUM methods, and tools such as Jira\nIt is a plus if you also:\nFamiliarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda)\nExperience with database-related telemetry products or integrating partner technologies into end-to-end solutions\nTechnical documentation skills including design statements, user guides, and help files\nWhy you will love working here\nWe care!
