You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to create user experiences for data-lake and data-warehouse environments. Frontend frameworks, customer locations, and onsite schedules may vary depending on the specific opening.\nWhat You'll be Owning\nDepending on the specific opening, you will:\nCreate, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot browser-based web applications and user interfaces.\nDevelop and review JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code, using a modern frontend framework where appropriate.\nWork with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver cohesive, usable interfaces.\nDefine, consume, and integrate REST-based APIs into frontend experiences.\nInvestigate customer-reported issues, prioritize fixes, and provide application support.\nWrite unit tests, perform quality-assurance testing, and participate in code reviews.\nCollaborate with your team to deliver maintainable code and continually improve application quality.\nWork may take place at a customer site, our office, or through a hybrid arrangement, depending on the specific opening. Positions may be located in either Columbia, MD or San Antonio, TX, hybrid work includes an average of 1-2 days per week at our office; scheduling flexibility is required.\nWhat You Must Have\nAn active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher and U.S. citizenship.\nRelevant frontend development experience and education:\nAt least 5 years of relevant frontend software development or engineering experience with a related bachelor’s degree; 3 years with a related master’s degree; or 9 years with a high-school diploma or equivalent.\nKnowledge of or experience with JavaScript and at least one web application framework, such as Vue, React, Angular, or Backbone, or comparable demonstrated competency.\nExperience creating or maintaining frontend web applications and working with HTML and CSS.\nFamiliarity with Git or comparable version-control tools and comfort using a Unix/Linux command line.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively, handle multiple tasks or tickets, and troubleshoot issues with sound judgment.\nAbility to obtain a required DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification, such as Security+, within 60 days of hire.\nAbility to meet the hybrid or onsite schedule of the specific opening, including regular presence at our office in Columbia, MD for the currently identified opening.\nWhat Would be Nice to Have\nExperience building frontend applications for a data lake or data warehouse.\nFamiliarity with more than one frontend framework, such as Vue, React, Angular, or Backbone.\nExperience improving usability, performing frontend code reviews, and expanding automated unit or quality-assurance testing.\nExperience collaborating across design, backend engineering, and data science teams to deliver REST API-driven web applications.\nPay Range: At GRVTY, we understand that compensation is influenced by many factors-such as geographic location, federal contract labor categories, wage rates, prior experience, skillsets, education, and certifications.\nWe’re proud to offer a work environment that empowers our team to achieve a strong work-life balance.
