If you are a self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented software engineer who is passionate about developing innovative software solutions, we would love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll be Owning\nMust have a strong working knowledge and experience developing Java based software capabilities.\nShould have an inquisitive nature, responsiveness, and excellent testing skills.\nMust also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.\nKeep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.\nWill work in a fast-paced, small business environment with our talented team.\nSeamlessly transition between hands-on execution and team guidance, treating mentorship and team leadership as inherent components of senior-level impact.\nAdditional duties as assigned.\nWhat You Must Have\nSecurity Clearance: A current U.S. Government Security Clearance is desired, but not required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.\nMinimum of 9 years experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) Bachelors in related field or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.\nExperience building and maintaining Kubernetes deployments using tools like helm and flux.\nStrong Java software development experience.\nExperience in designing enterprise APIs.\nExperience in RESTful web services.\nExperience in Microservices architecture.\nExperience with the agile software lifecycle.\nHas a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting.\nExperience with the Linux operating system.\nExperience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven).\nDemonstrated experience serving as a tech lead, mentor, or manager for engineering teams.\nMust be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at a San Antonio, TX office and/or 1-2 days per week at our customer site. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.\nWhat Would be Nice to Have\nExperience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure).\nExperience designing and writing custom kubernetes tooling like operators and custom CRDs.\nExperience with programming languages such as golang and python.\nExperience with writing automation in CI/CD tooling such as gitlabs CI pipelines.\nExperience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr).\nScripting experience is a huge plus.\nPrior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.\nUnderstanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites.
