The Role\nOverall, Purpose of Job\nTo own and drive the end-to-end eCommerce programme roadmap for a high-growth, Multi Millon+ online retail business, ensuring the successful delivery of all Trading, Marketing and Operations\nAbout You\nMain Duties and Accountabilities\nProgramme Leadership & Delivery\nOwn the eCommerce programme roadmap, prioritising initiatives aligned to revenue growth, margin optimisation and customer experience\nLead the delivery of complex, cross-functional projects including:\nEU market entry and international expansion\nPlatform development / integrations\nTrading, pricing and promotional capability enhancements\nCustomer journey and conversion optimisation\nEnsure all programmes are delivered on time, within scope and budget\nCommercial Ownership\nTranslate business strategy into deliverable plans with clear ROI, cost control and measurable KPIs\nWork closely with Trading, Finance and Commercial teams to ensure programmes drive sales, margin and customer lifetime value\nMaintain strong financial governance across all initiatives\nStakeholder Management\nAct as the central point of coordination across eCommerce, Technology, Supply Chain, Marketing and Customer teams\nBuild strong, credible relationships at senior level\nProvide clear, data-led reporting on programme performance, risks and delivery milestones\nGovernance, Risk & Controls\nEstablish and maintain programme governance frameworks, ensuring clear accountability and decision-making\nIdentify and mitigate risks proactively, ensuring minimal disruption to trading performance\nEnsure compliance with operational, legal and regulatory requirements (particularly for EU expansion)\nOperational Excellence\nDrive a culture of delivery, accountability and continuous improvement\nIntroduce best practice programme methodologies (Agile / hybrid as appropriate)\nImprove speed to market, efficiency and scalability of eCommerce operations\nTeam & Capability\nLead, coach and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority\nBuild internal capability in programme and project delivery\nSupport succession planning and development of future talent\nKey Performance Measures\nDelivery of programme roadmap (on time, in budget, in scope)\nRevenue growth and contribution from delivered initiatives\nImprovement in conversion, AOV and Specification\nESSENTIAL\nProven experience in senior programme/project leadership within high-volume eCommerce or online retail\nStrong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of revenue, margin and trading drivers\nExperience working in scaled eCommerce businesses (£400m+ ideally), with exposure to marketplace or omnichannel environments\nDemonstrable experience delivering complex, cross-functional programmes at pace\nExperience of international expansion or multi-market eCommerce\nStrong stakeholder management skills able to influence at Executive level\nHighly data-driven with strong decision-making capability\nAbility to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with competing priorities\nStrong governance, risk management and delivery discipline\nDESIRABLE\nBackground in automotive or retail product-led businesses\nExperience in platform transformation / replatforming programmes\nKnowledge of eCommerce technologies, OMS, PIM, ERP
