Shift\n\nStart Time: Approximately 7:00 p.m. until route completion\n\nAverage Weekly Hours: 45-55 hours\n\nRoute Type: Local and regional school foodservice deliveries\n\nHome Time: Home Daily\n\nWeekends: Off\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSafely operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers, to transport and deliver foodservice products to K-12 schools and designated customer locations.\n\nComplete assigned local and regional multi-stop delivery routes safely, accurately, and on schedule.\n\nOperate newer Peterbilt and Freightliner trucks equipped with lift gates and delivery equipment.\n\nLoad, unload, and deliver products using electric and manual pallet jacks, two-wheel dollies, and lift gates.\n\nPerform hands-on deliveries, including touch freight, at locations with and without loading docks.\n\nConduct required pre-trip and post-trip DOT vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is safe and roadworthy.\n\nVerify product quantities, maintain accurate delivery records, and obtain required customer signatures.\n\nFollow established delivery routes, dispatch instructions, and customer delivery requirements.\n\nMaintain compliance with DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, hours-of-service regulations, and company safety policies.\n\nSafely maneuver tractor-trailers in school parking lots, loading areas, and other delivery locations.\n\nProvide professional, courteous customer service while maintaining positive relationships with school personnel and customers.\n\nCommunicate promptly with dispatch and transportation leadership regarding delays, delivery discrepancies, equipment concerns, or safety issues.\n\nReport accidents, injuries, vehicle damage, and unsafe conditions immediately in accordance with company procedures.\n\nMaintain cleanliness and proper care of assigned trucks, trailers, and delivery equipment.\n\nSupport additional transportation and operational responsibilities as assigned.\n\nWORK SCHEDULE:\nDays: Monday-Friday\n\nShift: Evening/Night Shift\n\nStart Time: Approximately 7:00 p.m.\n\nEnd Time: Upon completion of assigned delivery routes\n\nAverage Weekly Hours: 45-55 hours\n\nHome Daily: No regularly scheduled overnight stays\n\nWeekends: Off\n\nStart and end times may vary based on route assignments, school schedules, customer needs, and operational requirements.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:\nValid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).\n\nCurrent DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.\n\nDemonstrated experience safely operating tractor-trailers and Class A commercial vehicles.\n\nAbility to meet company driver qualification standards, including review of applicable 10-year driving and employment history.\n\nKnowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, commercial vehicle safety requirements, and hours-of-service rules.\n\nAbility to safely operate and maneuver commercial vehicles in tight delivery areas.\n\nAbility to perform physical delivery duties, including loading, unloading, and transporting products using delivery equipment.\n\nAbility to work evening/night shifts and complete assigned delivery routes.\n\nStrong attention to safety, reliability, punctuality, and customer service.\n\nEffective communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.\n\nAbility to pass required pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and applicable fingerprinting requirements.\n\nAbility to satisfy all applicable DOT and company driver qualification requirements.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nPrevious experience as a CDL A Route Driver, Local Truck Driver, Foodservice Delivery Driver, or Tractor-Trailer Driver.\n\nExperience with multi-stop deliveries, touch freight, and dedicated delivery routes.\n\nExperience delivering to schools, restaurants, institutions, grocery distributors, or commercial customers.\n\nFamiliarity with lift gates, pallet jacks, two-wheel dollies, and electronic delivery systems.\n\nDoubles/Triples (T) endorsement.\n\nTWIC card.\n\nExperience using electronic logging devices (ELDs), route management systems, or electronic proof-of-delivery tools.\n\nBENEFITS
