By leveraging continuous improvement methodologies, the role will drive sustainable enhancements to existing compliance systems and processes, ensuring compliance requirements across engineering are consistently met.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOwn and drive compliance with Quality Management Systems and Safety systems within Engineering.\nManagement and governance of engineering safety and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).\nProvide management and oversight of the following key compliance areas within Engineering: Engineering Standards (ES), Quality Management System (QMS), Eng Alerts, Legionella, Asbestos, TP13, Technical Authority, Risk Management, Maturity Assessments.\nEnsure documentation periodic review and retention is managed.\nManage the department Self Inspection Audit/Management Monitoring program.\nOwnership of the Engineering Change Control and Planned Change process\nSupport Good Manufacturing Practices ( GMP) and safety audits including fronting as required.\nManage and chair department councils & engineering governance meetings.\nDeliver GMP training as required for the department.\nBasic Qualifications:\nA-Levels or a Foundation Degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.\nExperience in Quality Management System principles and engineering standards\nExperience in organizing workload effectively and manage multiple tasks\nExperience preparing and delivering written and verbal communications in English in a professional setting\nExperience working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.\nExperience creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and analysing data using Microsoft Excel.\nExperience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment operating under cGMP and Quality Management Systems (QMS).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigher National Certificate or Degree or equivalent experience in relevant engineering related subject\nTo enable the individual to manage compliance within a complex GMP environment\nWork Arrangements:\nBased Barnard Castle\nThis role is on-site, 5 days per week.\nClosing Date for Applications: 20/10/2026\nPlease take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert.\nWhen applying for this role, please use the ‘cover letter’ of the online application or your CV to describe how you meet the competencies for this role, as outlined in the job requirements above.
