The role prepares cost analysis and reporting, supports the budget and forecast, processes purchase orders and reconciles invoices and spend, and helps prepare business cases. It provides accurate, timely financial data and analysis that leadership and the Tech Finance Manager rely on to manage the network cost base.\nKey Responsibilities\nCost Analysis and Reporting\nPrepare network cost analysis and reporting, including carrier, circuit, bandwidth, hardware, software and managed service spend.\nProduce variance analysis against budget and forecast, explaining movements and flagging risks and trends.\nMaintain accurate, current financial data so reporting is repeatable and does not depend on individual effort.\nundefined\nBudget and Forecast Support\nSupport the budget and forecast cycle, gathering inputs, updating models and tracking actuals to the enterprise finance timetable.\nHelp maintain connectivity unit cost and consumption views at the level the Tech Finance Manager and leadership need.\nSupport month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.\nFinancial Operations\nCreate and track purchase orders and manage the purchase-order lifecycle for the domain.\nReconcile invoices and spend against purchase orders and contracts, resolving queries with suppliers and Procurement.\nProcess accruals, reclasses and cross charges under the Tech Finance Manager's direction.\nBusiness Case and Investment Support\nPrepare business cases and investment analysis, providing the cost and benefit inputs for review.\nSupport investment tracking and benefits reporting for network and connectivity initiatives.\nGovernance and Data Quality\nApply central Technology Business Operations standards, definitions and controls so data is consistent and comparable.\nMaintain financial data quality and reporting accuracy, support audit and control evidence.\nEscalate data gaps, discrepancies and emerging risks to the Tech Finance Manager.\nProfessional Qualifications\nBS or MS degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Technology Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nProfessionally qualified accountant (or qualified by experience) with a recognised accounting or cost-management credential e.g., CA/CMA (desirable)\nArea of Specialisation\nFinancial, commercial or business analysis, covering cost analysis, reporting and variance analysis.\nBudget and forecast support, purchase-order processing and supplier spend reconciliation.\nBusiness-case preparation and investment analysis.\nExperience Required\nOverall10 years and 6-8 years in finance supporting a technology platform, domain or infrastructure function\nRelevant experience in financial, commercial or business analysis.\nCapability in business case preparation, forecasting, variance analysis, purchase order processing and supplier spend reconciliation.\nEvidence of producing accurate analysis that supported network cost control or investment decisions.\nExperience working to a fixed finance timetable and applying standards set by a central function.\n\nRelated Skills/Background\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail, since reporting and decisions rest on the accuracy of the data.\nCapable with financial systems and analysis tools, including ERP, procurement and reporting platforms.\nClear communicator, able to explain financial data to non-finance colleagues.\nWell organised, able to deliver recurring cycles reliably to a fixed timetable.\nProactive in resolving queries and improving recurring processes.\nSkills\nBudget Forecasting, Business Forecasting, Business Reporting Tools, Contract Renewals, Cost Analysis, Data Storytelling, Data Visualization, Digital Fluency, Financial Modeling, Financial Performance Improvement, Influencing Without Authority, Insight Generation, Problem Solving, Process Improvement, Technology FinanceWhy GSK?\nUniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.\nGSK is a global biopharma company with a purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.
