These responsibilities include some of the following :\nDesign, prepare, and evaluate mRNA formulations and delivery systems, including lipid nanoparticle (LNP) platforms, to assess stability, compatibility, encapsulation efficiency, and performance.\nDevelop and execute formulation studies, stability studies, and stress studies to advance mRNA vaccine and therapeutic programs.\nCharacterize physicochemical properties of mRNA formulations using analytical techniques such as dynamic light scattering (DLS), zeta potential, chromatography, and thermal analysis.\nAnalyze and interpret experimental data, identify formulation risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies to improve product quality, stability, and performance.\nCollaborate closely with analytical, process development, regulatory, and quality teams to support project goals and advance development programs.\nMaintain accurate laboratory records, prepare study reports, and communicate scientific findings through presentations and technical documentation.\nMaintain the drug product laboratory space in a safe, organized, and inspection-ready manner.\nSupport troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts to address formulation challenges.\nBasic Qualifications:\nWe are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:\nBS, MS, or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline (BS and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, MS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD and 0 years of relevant experience).\nA minimum of 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience developing and evaluating mRNA-LNP formulations or other nucleic acid delivery systems.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPlease note the following skills are not necessary, just preferred, if you do not have them, please still apply:\nAdvanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant discipline.\nExperience with vaccine formulation, protein biologics, nanoparticle delivery systems, or other advanced drug delivery technologies.\nExperience designing and executing formulation studies, stability studies, and other drug product development experiments.\nPractical knowledge of lipid nanoparticle formulation development and characterization.\nKnowledge of high-throughput formulation screening and stability study design.\nFamiliarity with process development, scale-up considerations and manufacturing handoffs.\nFamiliarity with characterization techniques used to evaluate formulation quality, such as dynamic light scattering, zeta potential measurement, or chromatography.\nIf you want to work on exciting challenges that help shape new medicines using mRNA technology, we encourage you to apply. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
