When you are in this role, you will be in the driver seat to Accelerate R&D, Deliver Growth and Simplify how we work for GSK.\nResponsibilities\nEnsure EHS is appropriately represented on the Site Leadership Teams.\nEHS Management System: lead the development, implementation of site EHSS strategy and associated annual plans. Lead, manage and develop the site EHSS team. Promote SEHS responsible culture to secure the effective implementation of the site’s policy on security, environment, health and safety\nCompliance: Maintain knowledge on SEHS issues and legislation that have the potential to affect local operations and communicate their implications to management.\nAdvise management on SEHS planning that include setting of objectives, priorities and establishing adequate performance targets.\nEstablish and maintain adequate and appropriate SEHS monitoring and auditing systems to ensure compliance with both group and local regulatory requirements.\nCommunicate the results of SEHS programmes and performance and their implications to management.\nIdentify and assess any SEHS risks arising from new processes, products, facilities, equipment or major modification/changes and provide advice on appropriate controls to reduce SEHS risks and impacts.\nProvide leadership in the preparation for the external audits such as Corporate Security, Corporate EHS Audit, fire insurance survey, regulatory audit, etc.\nMaintain communications and share best practices with SEHS professionals both within and outside GSK.\nRegulatory interface and the site leader for any EHS-related government regulatory authorities and any associated inspections / audits.\nCustodian for site’s Emergency Planning, Incident Management and Control, Crisis Management.\nDevelop and motivate staff in the team to achieve individual optimal performance and good teamwork.\nOwnership of GSK EHS standards.\nWhy You?\nBasic Qualification\nWe are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.\nAt least 5 years management experience in the relevant area including EHS and risk management. Preferably in a biopharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical manufacturing or other high hazard industry.\nMust have experience in liasing with multiple regulatory bodies such as NEA, PUB, MOM, etc.\nGood knowledge of Singapore’s EHS regulations and international standards.\nProven ability to assess and manage workplace safety and environmental risks.\nStrong organizational and communication skills, working well with diverse teams and stakeholders.\nWillingness to work on-site full-time, with openness to flexible or hybrid arrangements when needed.\nPreferred Qualification\nIf you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:\nPostgraduate qualification or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environment, or related discipline.\nExperience in pharmaceutical, chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing sectors.\nFamiliarity with process safety management and industrial hygiene principles.\nDemonstrated leadership experience coordinating safety programs and influencing multiple teams.\nTrack record supporting audit processes and driving continuous improvement in EHS.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to reducing risk. \nSkills\nData-Driven Decision Making, Data Integrity, Digital Fluency, GxP Regulations, Incident Investigations, Influencing Without Authority, Lean Management, Problem Solving, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Assessments, Risk Awareness, Stakeholder ManagementWhy GSK?\nUniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.\nGSK is a global biopharma company with a purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.
