The candidate should be able to deploy and operate the applications they build, understand how applications integrate with other systems, troubleshoot production issues, and establish effective monitoring and observability using APM, logging and monitoring tools.\nThe candidate should have hands-on experience with GitHub, Kubernetes and Docker, with a good understanding of cloud/container platforms and application deployment.\n\nWe are seeking a well-rounded Python Engineer with strong expertise in production engineering, system integrations, and observability. This role is not aligned with profiles focused exclusively on Python development, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or integration engineering. The ideal candidate will bring a balanced mix of software development, operational excellence, and production support experience.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Python Development\nDesign, develop and maintain scalable Python-based applications and services.\nDevelop solutions for ERP, infrastructure and enterprise application environments.\nWrite clean, maintainable and production-ready Python code.\nDevelop APIs, integrations and supporting utilities as required.\nIdentify opportunities to improve application reliability, performance and maintainability.\n2. Application Integration\nDevelop and troubleshoot integrations between applications and enterprise systems.\nDemonstrate strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML and API-based communication.\nUnderstand end-to-end application flows, dependencies and integration points.\nTroubleshoot integration failures across application, API and infrastructure layers.\nWork with application and platform teams to ensure reliable end-to-end system operation.\n3. Deployment & DevOps\nIndependently take applications from development through deployment and production.\nUse GitHub/Git-based workflows for source code management and deployment processes.\nDeploy and operate workloads on Kubernetes and Docker/container platforms.\nUnderstand Kubernetes deployment concepts including pods, deployments, services, configurations, secrets and basic troubleshooting.\nWork with CI/CD pipelines and cloud/container platforms to support reliable application releases.\n\n4. Production Operations & Troubleshooting\nUnderstand how the application behaves in a production environment.\nTroubleshoot application, integration and deployment issues across the technology stack.\nAnalyze logs, metrics and application behavior to identify production issues.\nParticipate in incident management and drive technical root-cause analysis.\nIdentify recurring issues and opportunities to improve application reliability and reduce operational effort.\n\n5. Observability & APM\nUnderstand how applications should be monitored in production.\nImplement or support application monitoring using APM, logging, metrics and observability tools.\nUnderstand application health indicators such as availability, latency, error rates, throughput and resource utilization.\nInstrument applications with appropriate logging, metrics and telemetry during development.\nBuild or configure dashboards and alerts to provide production visibility.\nUse observability data to troubleshoot issues and support RCA.\n6. Platform / Search Technology\nSupport and troubleshoot OpenSearch / Elasticsearch environments where applicable.\nUnderstand application-to-platform dependencies and basic operational considerations for search/logging platforms.\n\nRequired Skills\nMust Have\n6+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Python development.\nStrong understanding of application development and production engineering.\nHands-on experience taking applications from development → deployment → production support.\nStrong understanding of REST APIs and application integrations.\nHands-on experience with Git/GitHub.\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.\nStrong understanding of application production monitoring and troubleshooting.\nExposure to APM / observability / logging / monitoring tools.\nStrong problem-solving and RCA capabilities.\nStrongly Preferred\nExperience deploying Python applications to Kubernetes using IaC.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.\nExperience with application instrumentation, telemetry and observability.\nExperience with tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk or similar.\nExperience automating operational activities using Python.\nExperience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.\n\nWhy choose GSPANN\nWe GSPANNians are at the heart of the technology that we pioneer.
