As a Technical Lead, you will provide technical direction to a cross-functional engineering team while remaining hands-on with architecture, development, code quality, performance, and delivery.\nYou will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps teams, and other engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable platforms supporting digital products and everyday banking capabilities.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the design, development, and operation of large-scale, cloud-native backend platforms.\nDesign and develop scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.\nArchitect and implement microservices-based distributed systems.\nDesign and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka for asynchronous processing and service-to-service integration.\nDesign scalable data models and optimize MongoDB databases, including indexing, aggregation pipelines, and performance tuning.\nImplement Redis for caching, distributed locking, session management, and performance optimization.\nDevelop and maintain frontend applications using ReactJS while maintaining a strong backend engineering focus.\nWork with Angular where required as part of full-stack application development.\nDesign and develop secure, scalable, and well-documented APIs.\nImplement appropriate authentication and authorization mechanisms and follow secure API design practices.\nBuild highly available and resilient systems capable of supporting mission-critical production workloads.\nDrive application performance optimization, scalability, reliability, and observability.\nDesign and operate cloud-native solutions across Azure, AWS, or GCP, with Azure preferred.\nContainerize applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads using Kubernetes.\nImplement and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices.\nParticipate in architecture and technical design discussions and drive appropriate technical decisions.\nEstablish and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, and code quality across the squad.\nConduct code reviews and ensure maintainable, secure, and production-ready code.\nTroubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.\nPlan technical delivery, estimate work, manage dependencies, and support successful sprint execution.\nMentor and guide engineers on architecture, development practices, debugging, performance optimization, and engineering standards.\nCollaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.\nContribute to technical roadmaps, platform improvements, and continuous engineering optimization.\nCore Technical Requirements\nBackend\nStrong hands-on expertise in Node.js\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript\nStrong experience with Express.js\nExtensive experience building enterprise-grade backend services\nStrong understanding of asynchronous and non-blocking programming\nArchitecture & Distributed Systems\nStrong experience with Microservices Architecture\nDeep understanding of distributed system design\nExperience designing scalable, highly available, and resilient systems\nStrong understanding of service integration and asynchronous processing\nExperience with event-driven architectures\nKafka\nHands-on experience with Apache Kafka\nExperience designing event-driven systems using Kafka\nUnderstanding of asynchronous processing and service integration\nExperience handling high-volume distributed workloads\nMongoDB\nStrong hands-on experience with MongoDB\nData modeling\nIndexing strategies\nAggregation pipelines\nQuery optimization\nPerformance tuning\nRedis\nStrong experience with Redis\nCaching strategies\nDistributed locking\nSession management\nPerformance optimization\nFrontend\nStrong hands-on experience with ReactJS\nExperience building scalable and maintainable frontend applications\nUnderstanding of modern React architecture and application development\nAngular experience is also relevant, particularly for full-stack delivery\nCloud & DevOps\nHands-on experience with cloud platforms:\nAzure -
