If you are someone who demonstrates initiatives, adaptability, and innovation, we invite you to join our team.\nThis role will be based in our Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Phoenix, or West Palm Beach office, on a hybrid basis and will work directly with the firmwide Marketing and Business Development Team. This role reports to the Senior Pursuits Manager.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Proposal Manager is responsible for managing and drafting key client pitches and responses to requests for proposals, developing and organizing related collateral materials, and improving best practices in this area across the firm, while working collaboratively with, and as an integral part of, the global marketing and business development team.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWorks with industry and practice group marketers to project manage RFPs and high-value proposals in a specific set of industries, developing a deep understanding of these industries and opportunities and impacts in the legal industry\n\nOversees the development and maintenance of designated industry(ies) RFP response library and tools, with the goal of providing strategic and customized responses on behalf of the firm, efficiently. This includes continuously updating response materials, maps, templates, and the commonly asked question response library\n\nCommunicates with firm leadership and attorneys to ensure RFPs are responded to strategically and effectively. This includes working with the Senior Pursuits Manager to navigate challenges and obstacles related to proposed teams, response approach, lead attorney, etc.\n\nRegularly reviews RFP win/loss statistics and develops creative adjustments in the interest of increasing win rates\n\nCollaborates with select members of the Marketing team as appropriate to customize responses and drive higher success rates\n\nServes as primary point of contact for the RFP/Pursuitsteam with the firm’s Office of General Counsel, Conflicts department, Technology, and Revenue Management groups vis a vis completion of RFP responses\n\nAssesses the competitive environment for proposals, including gathering intelligence on how other professional services firms are developing strategies for proposals\n\nEffectively communicates and work alongside the RFP Project Manager to manage RFP/PursuitsTeam staff, as assigned, supervise work assignments and projects for the team ensuring that work product meets stated and anticipated needs. Facilitate internal communication related to marketing efforts and RFPs\n\nServes as a resource and mentor to other team members, be aware and knowledgeable of department protocols and where to find information\n\nBe knowledgeable of firm systems and conversant in technology used by marketing team and firm\n\nIdentifies and implements opportunities for process improvements and to increase efficiency\n\nWorks on other projects as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\nSkills & Competencies\nExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills\n\nWell-developed strategic thinking and significant responsibilities associated with proposal writing and business development support, or a related field\n\nExperience at a law firm or professional services firm is strongly preferred\n\nTechnology\nHigh level of proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)\n\nApplies hands-on experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) to support professional and managerial tasks, including drafting, summarizing, brainstorming, and organizing content, while applying sound judgment when reviewing AI generated work product and maintaining accountability for all final outputs\n\nAbility to write effective prompts that clearly define objectives, provide relevant context, and guide AI tools to produce useful, accurate, and appropriate results; able to refine prompts to improve output quality, productivity, and efficiency\n\nModels responsible AI use for team members, reinforcing expectations related to confidentiality, data privacy, and appropriate human oversight\n\nDemonstrates working knowledge of governance considerations, including ethical use and risk awareness, and adapts to emerging AI and related technologies\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to move from workstation or desk throughout the
