Our mission is to engage customers and empower makers to deliver precision.\n Title: Quality Technician\nReports to: Quality Manager\nJob Purpose: Responsible for the final inspection of manufactured parts and providing support to the machinists throughout the inspection process.\nKey Responsibilities and Accountabilities:\nReview customer contract requirements and compare to manufacturing documentation to ensure customer obligations are identified and met.\nComplete first article, in-process and final inspections on manufactured product to customer requirements utilizing calibrated equipment and document results per process\nCalibrate and maintain the precision measuring devices per defined work instructions and ensure that the calibration due dates for employee, customer provided, and/or company owned equipment are current\nReview and complete all documentation required for shipping of product to the customer, thus certifying that all requirements are met.\nProcess non-conforming product and assist in determining root cause per standard work\nAssist in training fellow employees in order to further the development of the workforce\nReview customer specifications to establish correct inspection criteria\nPerform preventative maintenance on inspection equipment\nCompletes all job-related paperwork and production reporting to accurately record time and attendance and inventory \nMaintains an organized, clean and safe work area using 6S guidelines and safety standards \nCompletes internal 6S audits to schedule\nComplies with all safe practices, policies, and regulations\nPerform other duties as assigned or requested\n High school diploma or GED required\nMinimum of 4 years experience in Quality Control or Machining\nKnowledge of manufacturing methods and logistics administration required\nExperience with optical comparator and profilometer required\nFirsthand knowledge of blueprint reading, including an advanced understanding of GD&T and military specifications\nLean manufacturing and quality system experience preferred (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 13485, and AS9100D preferred)\nCMM operation and troubleshooting skills are required; Zeiss Calypso preferred\nExperience with ERP and quality software interfaces preferred\nBasic computer knowledge and a strong math background\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExperience in Microsoft Office Suite\nTeam player who enjoys challenging situations\n GTC Machining, LLC offers a drug-free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
