The ideal candidate will have deep experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Lean Manufacturing, and quality systems such as ISO9001.\nThe Senior Manufacturing Engineer will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for modular fabricated systems, containerized enclosures, and steel structures.\nDevelop formal manufacturing documentation including process flow diagrams, work instructions, BOMs, routings, CNC programming, and assembly/inspection plans.\nUse CAD tools (SolidWorks and AutoCAD) to design fixtures, tooling, and work-holding solutions to support scalable production.\nTranslate engineering design requirements into robust and efficient production processes.\nLead new product introduction (NPI) efforts from prototype through full-rate production.\nApply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and optimize floor layouts.\nIntegrate automated and digital manufacturing technologies where applicable.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate manufacturability and ensure alignment between engineering intent and production capability.\nUtilize ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) to manage process documentation and support real-time operations visibility.\nMaintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards; support internal and external audits.\nDrive root cause analysis and corrective action using tools like FMEA, SPC, and 8D.\nMentor technicians and junior engineers in best practices for manufacturing engineering.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.\n4-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in modular fabrication, defense, energy, or industrial equipment sectors.\nProficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and tolerance analysis.\nStrong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite a plus).\nDemonstrated success in process development, design for manufacturability, and production scaling.\nHands-on experience with containerization, modular product platforms, and structural weldments.\nKnowledge of ISO9001 quality systems and compliance standards.\nExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in containerized HVAC, power distribution, or control system enclosures.\nFamiliarity with CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and industrial coatings.\nCertification in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or related process improvement disciplines.\nExperience with CFD/FEA simulation tools.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis is a full-time onsite position based in Goodyear, AZ.\nWork takes place in both office and fabrication floor environments.\nMay require up to 5 % travel to customer sites or GTI facilities.\nMust be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. and walk fabrication areas.\nBenefits & Perks\nGTI Energy offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support employees and their families while providing long-term career growth opportunities within a fast-growing manufacturing organization.
