This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse and material handling teams while ensuring materials are received, stored, controlled, picked, staged, and delivered accurately and on time to support production requirements.\nThis position plays a critical role in maintaining material flow across a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing operation. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead frontline employees, drive safety and inventory discipline, coordinate priorities with Production, Planning, Supply Chain, and Quality, and ensure the warehouse is positioned to support changing manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.\nThe ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who understands warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment and can balance people leadership, inventory accuracy, material flow, and daily execution.\nKey Responsibilities\nWarehouse Operations & Material Flow\nSupervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, staging, material movement, and shipping support.\nEnsure materials are accurately and efficiently delivered to production based on manufacturing schedules and priorities.\nCoordinate material staging and replenishment to prevent shortages and production delays.\nMaintain organized and clearly defined warehouse, staging, and material storage areas.\nMonitor inbound and outbound material flow and quickly address bottlenecks, shortages, or competing priorities.\nPartner with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and other Supply Chain functions to support manufacturing requirements.\nEnsure proper handling and storage of raw materials, purchased components, work-in-process, and finished goods.\nSupport changing production priorities while maintaining control of warehouse operations.\nTeam Leadership & Development\nProvide direct supervision and daily leadership to Material Handlers, Forklift Operators, Warehouse Associates, Leads, and other assigned warehouse personnel.\nEstablish clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, attendance, and accountability.\nConduct daily shift meetings and communicate workload, priorities, safety expectations, and operational changes.\nAssign labor based on workload, production requirements, and business priorities.\nCoach and develop employees while addressing performance or attendance issues in a timely manner.\nBuild a team culture focused on ownership, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nSupport employee training and ensure team members are properly trained on warehouse processes, equipment, and safety requirements.\nInventory Control & Accuracy\nMaintain strong inventory accuracy through disciplined receiving, material movement, transaction, and storage practices.\nEnsure inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely within the ERP/WMS system.\nSupport cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.\nInvestigate inventory discrepancies and partner with Inventory Control and Supply Chain teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.\nEnsure materials are properly labeled, identified, located, and controlled throughout the warehouse.\nReinforce FIFO, material traceability, and other inventory-control requirements where applicable.\nSafety, Quality & Compliance\nPromote a safety-first culture and ensure employees follow all GTI safety policies and warehouse procedures.\nEnsure safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, material handling equipment, and warehouse vehicles.\nConduct routine floor observations and address unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.\nMaintain clean, organized, and audit-ready warehouse areas utilizing 5S principles.\nEnsure material handling practices protect product quality and prevent damage, loss, or misidentification.\nPartner with EHS and Quality teams to resolve safety or material-related concerns.\nOperational Performance & Continuous Improvement\nMonitor warehouse performance including productivity, inventory accuracy, material availability, receiving performance, and on-time material delivery to production.\nIdentify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, material flow, labor utilization, staging, and overall efficiency.\nParticipate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives focused on eliminating waste and improving material movement.\nEscalate material shortages, capacity constraints, inventory discrepancies, or operational risks that could impact production.\nSupport warehouse readiness for production ramps, new product introductions, and changing customer demand.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\n3+ years of warehouse, distribution, material handling, or inventory experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.\n1+ years of direct supervisory, lead, or frontline leadership experience.\nDemonstrated experience leading hourly warehouse or material handling employees.\nStrong understanding of receiving, inventory control, material staging, picking, and warehouse operations.\nExperience supporting material flow within a manufacturing or production environment.\nWorking knowledge of ERP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).\nExperience with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and inventory accuracy processes.\nStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to work effectively across Production, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and other operational teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\n5+ years of warehouse or materials experience within manufacturing.\nPrevious Warehouse Supervisor or Materials Supervisor experience.\nExperience supporting high-mix, engineered-to-order, contract manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial assembly operations.\nExperience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and continuous improvement.\nExperience with SAP or similar ERP systems.\nForklift and material handling equipment experience or certification.\nExperience supporting manufacturing
