For more information on GTS, please visit www.gtsx.com.\nResponsibilities\nLead, mentor, and develop engineers across North America, South America, and Europe.\nManage hiring, performance, capacity planning, resource allocation, and professional development.\nFoster a collaborative, high-performing team focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nProject & Delivery Management\nOversee multiple concurrent engineering projects, ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery.\nDrive sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, dependency tracking, and delivery reporting using Jira.\nMaintain project roadmaps, manage competing priorities, and proactively address delivery risks.\nCommunicate progress, timelines, and challenges to technical and business stakeholders.\nTechnical Leadership & Business Partnership\nGuide the design and development of scalable, reliable data systems using Python, Kafka, SQL, Airflow, and REST APIs.\nParticipate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, and targeted code reviews.\nPartner with trading desks, operations, finance, and compliance to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.\nLead demonstrations, gather feedback, and drive adoption of new systems.\nPromote engineering best practices, system reliability, and continuous improvement.\nQualifications\nProven experience managing software engineering teams, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and capacity planning.\nStrong software development background with the technical credibility to guide architecture and engineering decisions.\nExperience in financial services, trading, capital markets, or a related environment.\nStrong proficiency with Jira, including managing multiple concurrent projects, sprint planning, estimation, and dependency tracking.\nExperience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones.\nSolid understanding of distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and software design principles.\nFamiliarity with Python, Kafka, SQL, Airflow, and REST APIs.\nExcellent communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, resolve conflicts, and deliver projects on schedule.\nNice to Have\nExperience with electronic trading, market data, or investment management systems.\nFamiliarity with real-time data processing, reconciliations, and operational reporting.\nExperience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production environments.\nExperience scaling engineering teams, modernizing systems, or improving delivery processes in growing organizations.\nYou will build and develop a strong engineering team, establish predictable delivery processes, and ensure that reliable, well-designed technical solutions meet evolving business needs.\nWe are looking for a leader who puts people and delivery first, maintains strong technical judgment, and builds trusted relationships across engineering and the business.\nWe're proud to employ some of the leading talent in the industry, and we work to ensure our employees enjoy a high quality-of-life.\nIn accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $225,000.
