The individual must possess extensive knowledge in internetworking technologies offered within GTT’s product portfolio with an appetite for continuous learning and development to meet business needs. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience with the Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VeloCloud & Silver Peak products.\nJob Scope/Supervision:\nDesign Engineering team works closely with Network Architecture, Solution’s Team (Sales Engineering), Project Management, Technical Management, Network Provisioning & Service Assurance ensuring client solutions are designed, implemented and performing per client expectations prior to seamless handover post Pilot/POC acceptance into the BAU phase of project deployment.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nInclude but are not limited to:\nNetwork design and deployment of multi-platform solutions for managed service clients\nTechnical lead during project planning, management and implementation of client solutions (Pilot & POC deployments).\nParticipate in project calls with clients to review and capture low level design requirements\nDirectly interface with clients and project management teams supporting solution development and implementation.\nAct as a technical point of contact, within the Managed Services Team for Service Delivery Engineering, Operations, Product and Project Management.\nTechnical escalation during project deployment.\nAssist in the identification and resolution of data or voice connectivity issues during project deployment.\nInteract with additional Engineering teams on network augments, improvements and other technical driven initiatives.\nTemplate creation of new hardware introduce to our managed equipment portfolio\nRequired Experience/Qualifications:\nDevelop design solutions (physical and logical) that follow engineering best practices\nDemonstrated knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VeloCloud & Silver Peak design concepts, implementation and support\nMulti-platform design, implementation and support experience\nDemonstrated expertise with data, security and voice services\nHas a working knowledge of routing, switching & security protocols with hands on experience implementing such technologies\nMulti-protocol data network support experience with a strong knowledge of routing and switching\nExperience supporting a client’s complete network deployment lifecycle\nDemonstrated ability to perform service testing\nOperative knowledge of the ensuing communication technologies:\nVPN technologies (SD-WAN, MPLS, IPSec, GRE, TLS)\nSDN and NFV technologies\nWireless Technologies (802.11)\nLTE/3/4/5G Technologies\nBroadband (xDSL, Cable, EoC and Fiber)\nMust have fundamental understanding of project management principles\nMust have customer-oriented disposition\nMust have excellent written, interpersonal and presentation skills\nDesirable Experience/Qualifications:\nIndustry standard Network & Security Certifications (Managed Data & Security focused on present-day technologies)\nHighly organized\nPays close attention to detail\nPossesses sound problem-solving skills\nAble to conduct independent research and present solutions\nDemonstrates initiative\nIs a team player\nSelf-motivated.\nHours/Travel/Shift:\nLocal business hours with expectation to work out of hours if necessary, during project deployment in line with client specific maintenance windows and transition plan\nWhy GTT\nAdaptive mindset: A fast-moving, start-up-style environment that encourages learning and innovation\nCollective impact: Close collaboration with product, engineering, and operations teams\nCustomer ownership: Delivering stable, secure network platforms customers depend on\nYou’ll join a highly capable team where technical expertise, accountability, and continuous improvement are valued.\nOur Commitment\nGTT is committed to inclusion, fairness, and equal opportunity.
