This role provides technical leadership and governance across engineering teams, driving automation adopti on, mentoring team members, and partnering with business, product, development, DevOps, and vendor resources to ensure the delivery of reliable, scalable, and high-quality software solutions that align with organizational objectives.\nStrategic Quality Leadership\nLead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-level automated testing frameworksusing Tricentis Tosca and other automation technologies.\nContribute to the development and execution of the organization's quality engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that increase automation coverage, reduce testing cycle times, and enhance software quality across the organization.\nIdentify and recommend testing solutions, tools, and processes that can be leveraged across multiple value streams and technology teams.\nEnterprise Collaboration & Enablement\nPartner with product, development, QA, DevOps, and business teams to understand testing needs and design scalable automation solutions that support delivery objectives.\nAct as a subject matter expert and advocate for quality engineering best practices across the organization.\nEstablish and maintain automation standards, governance frameworks, and guardrails to ensure consistency and sustainability across teams.\nSupport the successful adoption of automation frameworks by providing guidance, training, and consultation to engineering teams.\nMentorship & Community Building\nMentor and coach QA engineers, automation engineers, and team members on automation best practices, test design, quality engineering principles, and framework utilization.\nAccelerate onboarding and development of team members by providing technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and hands-on support.\nConduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to promote maintainable, scalable, and reusable automation solutions.\nFoster a culture of quality ownership and continuous learning throughout the organization.\nVendor & Resource Management\nCollaborate with external vendor partners to ensure appropriate testing expertise, capacity, and support are aligned with organizational priorities.\nEvaluate resource needs and recommend strategies for optimizing quality engineering capabilities across internal and external teams.\nPartner with leadership to identify opportunities for expanding automation capabilities and improving testing effectiveness through strategic investments and partnerships.\nTechnical Quality Engineering\nDefine and enforce best practices for test automation, code quality, test data management, and quality engineering processes.\nCollaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments.\nAnalyze test coverage, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency.\nPartner with product and development teams to define and execute testing strategies for complex applications, integrations, and enterprise systems.\nQualifications\nBachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.\n6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation, including experience leading complex automation initiatives.\nStrong experience with additional automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.\nDeep understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.\nDemonstrated experience managing or supervising employees, including coaching, goal setting, development planning, feedback, and performance management.\nProven ability to lead through influence, build alignment across teams, and translate quality strategy into practical execution plans.\nExperience collaborating with vendor partners and managing resource capacity, delivery expectations, and knowledge transfer.\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Certifications\nISTQB Certified Tester - Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer\nCertified Agile Test Leader (CATL)\nCertified DevOps Engineer - Professional\nCertified Jenkins Engineer (CJE)\nSalary Range $65,900.70 - $152,611.80\nIn accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good-faith estimate.
