In this role, you'll evaluate risk, make sound underwriting decisions, build strong agency relationships, and help drive profitable growth across the region. You'll work closely with Distribution partners, business leaders, and agency stakeholders to identify opportunities, support retention efforts, and deliver exceptional service.How You’ll Make an Impact\nEvaluate, select, and price new and renewal business within established underwriting authority.\nManage profitability, retention, and growth within an assigned territory.\nNegotiate terms and conditions to secure profitable business opportunities.\nPartner with Distribution and Line of Business leaders to develop and execute territory growth strategies.\nBuild and maintain productive relationships with agency partners.\nProvide responsive service and support to agents while strengthening agency engagement.\nCollaborate with internal teams to identify service improvements and address agency feedback.\nMonitor market trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities and support business planning.\nTravel throughout the territory to meet with agency partners and attend industry events as needed.\nParticipate in virtual meetings and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders\nQualifications\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred\nProfessional designations such as AU or CPCU preferred\nMinimum of 5 years of underwriting experience in Property, General Liability, Commercial Auto and Workers Compensation\nStrong understanding of underwriting practices, risk assessment, and policy structures\nFamiliarity with insurance policy language and coverage forms\nSolid understanding of working with data to support underwriting decisions\nStrong time management, organizational, and prioritization skill \nClear written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively across teams\nSelf-motivated with strong attention to detail and accountability\nWhat to Expect\nA blend of underwriting expertise, territory management, and relationship building.\nRegular interaction with agency partners and internal business leaders.\nOpportunities to influence territory performance and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.\nA collaborative environment focused on delivering long-term profitable results.\nSalary Range\n$60,000.00-$125,000.00 USD with performance-based bonus potential\nIn accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, this range represents a good-faith estimate.
