quality, and applied AI features.\n\nHelp turn complex security and IT data into reliable, useful product intelligence.\n\nOwn technical problems end-to-end, from investigation through production-ready implementation.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and improve Python-based data processing pipelines.\n\nWork with structured and semi-structured data, especially JSON from third-party APIs.\n\nImprove data quality, consistency, deduplication, and traceability across integrations.\n\nInvestigate third-party API documentation and identify better ways to collect and use available data.\n\nDesign and implement new integration logic for security, identity, cloud, SaaS, endpoint, and infrastructure data sources.\n\nWrite clear, maintainable Python code for production data workflows.\n\nCreate tests and validation checks to catch schema changes, missing data, malformed records, and edge cases.\n\nWork with SQL and PostgreSQL to analyze, debug, and improve data flows.\n\nContribute to internal tooling that helps the team build, review, and maintain integrations faster.\n\nSupport applied AI/ML features related to classification, enrichment, ranking, entity matching, summarization, or data analysis.\n\nCollaborate closely with product and engineering to turn messy real-world data into reliable product capabilities.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nA Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, though a Master’s degree is preferred.\n\n5 + years of relevant professional experience in data engineering.\n\nStrong software engineering fundamentals: clean code, testing, debugging, version control, and maintainable production systems.\n\nEngineering, quantitative, or technical background with strong professional software development experience.\n\nStrong experience working with APIs, JSON, data transformation, and backend data pipelines.\n\nStrong Python experience, with broader programming experience in other languages welcome.\n\nSolid SQL skills, ideally with PostgreSQL.\n\nExperience with ETL/ELT workflows and production data processing.\n\nAbility to reason through inconsistent third-party data and design robust normalization logic.\n\nComfortable reading external technical documentation and translating it into working code.\n\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood testing habits using tools such as pytest.\n\nAbility to work independently and own complex technical work with minimal supervision.\n\nClear communication when documenting assumptions, tradeoffs, and implementation decisions.\n\nRelevant Tools & Technologies\nPython\n\nPostgreSQL / SQL\n\ndbt or similar data transformation tooling\n\nREST APIs\n\nJSON schema validation or data-quality frameworks\n\npytest\n\nGit\n\nCloud data services, especially Azure or similar platforms\n\nObservability/logging tools\n\nApplied AI / ML Experience\nPractical experience using LLM APIs for extraction, classification, enrichment, or internal tooling.\n\nPractical experience with classical machine learning techniques for classification, regression, clustering, ranking, anomaly detection, or entity matching.\n\nExperience with embeddings, semantic search, retrieval, or ranking systems.\n\nFamiliarity with libraries such as scikit-learn, sentence-transformers, FAISS, BM25, LightGBM, PyTorch, or similar.\n\nAbility to use AI where it adds leverage while keeping core data logic reliable, testable, and explainable.\n\nNice To Have\nCybersecurity, IT, cloud, identity, or infrastructure data experience.\n\nExperience with security tools, compliance data, vulnerability data, endpoint data, or SaaS administration data.\n\nExperience with data contracts, schema evolution, lineage, or data observability.\n\nExperience building internal developer or data-review tools.\n\nFamiliarity with security/compliance concepts such as risk scoring, controls, frameworks, or remediation
