Job Description:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nPromote the property’s amenities by informing guests on the unit’s restaurants, spa/salon services, gift shop, pool, etc. \nProfessionally engage and interact with guests, presenting a friendly and approachable demeanor and willingness to help. Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times. Tend to guests’ requests prior/upon arrival, and throughout stay. Handle guests’ complaints and solve them according to customer service standards. \nStrictly enforce the privacy and confidentiality of guests and limit requests for information pertaining to guests in accordance with unit and company’s policies. \nProvide directions and suggestions for guest activities. Make reservations when necessary. \nMaintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene. Notify General Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.\nMaintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager. \nSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.\nPrevious experience in customer service.\nDemonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people. Second language preferred. \nAbility to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team leader; ability to problem-solve.\nBasic math skills and the ability to operate basic office equipment. \nExceptional customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist guests and coworkers.\nPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS\nMoving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. \nLifting, carrying, and pushing up to 10 lbs. regularly, 10-15 lbs. frequently, and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.\nAbility to stand for the entire work day.\nReading and writing work-related documents in English.\nSpeech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.\nConstantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a customer service environment.\nPhysical attendance in unit to perform duties.\nEQUIPMENT USED\nTypical office equipment (computers, phone system, fax, copiers, scanners, among others).\nFounded in 1917, Guest Services has worked tirelessly to earn the reputation as the premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire in the United States.
