Job Description:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nAssist Housekeeping Manager in the daily operations and floor management in the designated area. \nMaintain GSI Hospitality Standards and adhere to GSI Sparkling Clean Program.\nSupervise the staff in absence of the Housekeeping Manager. \nEnsure complete guest satisfaction at all times. Handle guests’ complaints and solve them according to customer service standards. \nMonitor and supervise set up and maintenance of assigned area of facility to ensure quality standards. Monitor and assist in requisitioning linen use and housekeeping supplies; care of furniture, fixtures, and equipment. \nAssist in recruiting, supervising, training, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing the room attendants at the direction of the Housekeeping Manager. Assist in payroll procedures in submitting time and controlling labor costs.\nOperational Support: Assist room attendants with daily duties and clean rooms during peak volumes or understaffing.\nFlexibility: Step into other operational roles as needed to ensure complete and timely completion of the daily housekeeping workload.\nMaintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of unit’s equipment, food production and handling, cooking, housekeeping, sanitation, dress, cash control, and employee hygiene. Notify Unit Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.\nPerform unit opening and/or closing procedures. \nSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE\nHigh School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.\nWorking knowledge of approved housekeeping methods and cleaning techniques.\nComputer proficiency is a plus. \nDemonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people and maintain a high level of guest service.\nAbility to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to work well as a team leader; ability to problem-solve.\nStrong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.\nPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS\nMoving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment. \nLifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.\nAbility to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly. \nWithstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments. \nReading and writing work-related documents in English.\nSpeech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.\nConstantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in a fast-paced environment.\nPhysical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties. \nAble to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.\nEQUIPMENT USED\nTypical office equipment (computers, phone system, fax, copiers, scanners, among others).\nRolling cart.\nIndustrial Washer and Dryer.\nCleaning Supplies (including detergents, chemicals, vacuums, mops, brooms, scourers, hand towels, etc.).\nFounded in 1917, Guest Services has worked tirelessly to earn the reputation as the premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire in the United States.
