The successful candidate will have the capability to perform various maintenance tasks including, painting, dry wall repair, concrete forming and finishing. As well as the ability to diagnose and repair kitchen and HVAC equipment.Job Description:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nReceive direction from the Maintenance Manager and assist in the overall maintenance and repair of the assigned units operations.\nPainting and staining the interior and exterior of buildings.\nRepairing damage to walls and flooring.\nMajor repairs to electrical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment as needed.\nRespond immediately and resolve emergency facility needs/issues regarding safety/security/business requirements, including fire alarm systems; disengage electrical, water, or gas systems as necessary.\nMaintain and ensure safe facility environment including standards for maintenance and upkeep of facility’s equipment.Notify Manager of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues.\nCarries out weekly preventative maintenance inspections of facility assets.\nAssists resort staff with facility recycling program.\nOccasionally assists with landscaping, mowing, snow removal, and plowing.\nOccasionally performs custodial tasks.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE\nHigh School Diploma\nAt least 2 years of facility maintenance or carpentry related experience.\nAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, overtime.\nAbility to safely use hand and power tools.\nBasic Computer Skills (Excel, Word)\nAbility to speak, read, write and otherwise communicate in English.\nClass D Driver’s License with insurable driving record, preferred CDL.\nStrong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.\nAbility to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.\nPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS\nMoving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit or assigned work location.Bend, lift, carry, crawl, climb, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.\nLifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.\nClimbing steps and ladders regularly.\nWithstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.\nReading and writing work-related documents in English.\nSpeech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by co-workers.\nPhysical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.\nMust wear the correct protective and safety equipment at all times.\nEQUIPMENT USED\nRepair equipment.Hand and electric tools.\nCompany motor vehicles.\nFounded in 1917, Guest Services has worked tirelessly to earn the reputation as the premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire in the United States.
