In this role, you will help transform complex business and financial data into meaningful insights that support mission execution, operational effectiveness, and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with financial, operational, and technical stakeholders to improve the accessibility, usability, and value of enterprise data, supporting initiatives that drive greater reporting efficiency, performance visibility, and informed management decisions within key financial management functions.\nThe nature of our projects is highly dynamic and requires individuals who are adaptable, motivated, and comfortable in fast-paced client environments. Team members are expected to think critically, take initiative, and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions while collaborating with teams across financial management and technology\nKey Responsibilities\nAccessing financial data sources, establishing data connections, and pre-processing data for analysis \nAggregate, clean and organize datasets from disparate sources and perform quality assurance of these tasks \nManipulating large financial data sets, data mining, and structuring raw financial and operational data using open-source tools such as SQL and Python to formulate or recognize patterns to generate new information and insights to support financial decision-making, performance reporting, and resource allocation activities. \nDesigning financial data modeling processes and performing ad hoc/exploratory data analysis to support data-driven decision making related to financial performance and budget execution. \nEnsuring financial data governance, financial data integrity, and quality assurance standards are met to support reliable reporting and federal compliance requirements. \nHelp define data quality metrics associated with the quality of data ingested into Databricks to ensure accuracy and consistency across reporting environments. \nOrganizing and leading client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following up on action items \nDelivery of client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development \n What You Will Need:\nMust be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD \"PUBLIC TRUST\"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred\nBachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field \nONE (1) or more years of experience supporting data analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, financial management modernization or reporting initiatives \nExperience querying and manipulating data using SQL \nExperience developing scripts and performing data analysis using Python or a comparable analytics programming language \nExperience working with Databricks or comparable cloud-based data platforms to transform, manage, and/or analyze data \nExperience developing dashboards, reports, or visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools, preferably supporting budget execution monitoring or executive reporting \nUnderstanding of data quality, data governance, and data management principles within the federal compliance landscape \nExperience integrating, cleaning, and validating datasets from multiple sources \nProficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences \nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment \n What Would Be Nice To Have:\nExperience supporting federal financial management, budgeting, accounting, audit, or CFO organizations, preferably within DHS \nFamiliarity with federal financial management concepts, financial data, key performance indicators (KPIs), budget execution reporting, and management reporting processes \nExperience developing automated reporting or data transformation workflows \nExposure to cloud analytics environments, such as Databricks \nExperience working in a consulting, government, or professional services environment \nExperience working with Agile delivery methodologies and project teams \nTableau Desktop certification or similar analytics certifications \nExperience creating executive-level dashboards and data visualizations that communicate financial performance, resource utilization, operational metrics, and/or organizational priorities \nThe annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
